Link is from theJournal Sentinal, but the article is in todays Sporting News (no link available)

Aaron Rodgers of the Packers was the most efficient quarterback in the National Football League last season against the blitz.

According to information compiled by STATs and published Wednesday in Sporting News Today, Rodgers had the top passer rating of 104.5, with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions, against blitzing opponents

Any quesses as to the rest? No peaking!

I'm going to guess that it's mostly the QBs with the top overall passer ratings with the more mobile guys doing better.

Ryan

Peyton

Brady

Brees

Roethlisberger

I need 4 more....hmm...

Eli

Rivers

Freeman

Geez. Now I really am kind of stuck. (not sarcasm)

I'll go with: Flacco. Thy call him Joe Cool for a reason, right?

Only 2 QBs on the list have more INT's than Rodgers...shock that the source is a Milwaukee paper.

I'd rather take Tom Brady's TD/INT ratio of 10-2

Big Ben's 10-1

But for some reason Rodgers 11-5 makes him #1 on the list.

Uhh yeah..that has nothing to do with this being the highest passer ratings against a blitz, it;s totally objective so the fact that a Milwaukee paper says it makes it completely biased, because passer rating involves opinions...  :lmao:

There's a very interesting ommision from the list.
Vick?
No, Vick is probably most effective scrambling away from a blitz which wouldn't help his QB rating. I was thinking Peyton Manning would have made the cut. It seems he's constantly praised for eating defenses alive by making quick decisions and having a quick release.

http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/05/12/beating-the-blitz/I guess the ratings are subjective. While the link that the original poster had said tom brady was #2 against the blitz, profootball focus graded him at #17 against the blitz.

Well, the source is the Sporting News, a well known Wisconsin newspaper. and STATs, that well know Wisconsin only statistical service.....so I can understand why a Benson fan would look at it that way.
