Torry Holt (1 Viewer)

Last year Holt finished with 1100 yards and 7 TD's despite spending about 5 1/2 games catching passes from guys named Gus and Brock. With Bulger healthy and the o-line improved(hopefully) can Holt re-establish himself as a top-5ish WR? If so how long does he have left at that level?

I think that the rumors of Holt's demise have been greatly exaggerated and make him a great "buy" candidate. The stories came out last year about a degenerative knee condition that scared people off and than a protracted recovery that seemed to confirm people fears.Despite all this he started off the season on fire before his production tapered off as most of his teammates moved to the injury report. He is fantastically consistent (despite all the problems with the rams he still finished in the top 10 in receiving yards) which is a great quality to have for a fantasy player especially if you play in a HTH league.Couple that with a Rams team that is prime for a rebound season with high draft picks and the odds that their horrific injury situation of last year will not repeat itself. I think that he is a rare situation of low risk/high reward for the next few seasons. While many younger and more athletic WRs will go before Holt, I can think of few WRs that are a safer bet with high production than him.

The knee that everyone made a big deal about kept him out of 0 games last year. The only thing that held him back was a miserable StL team and QB carousel. I would count on 2 more yrs of similar production as this past year (about top 10) before I would expect a dropoff.

I recall Holt saying he would have to "manage" the knee last season. Give him a ton of credit for gutting it out on a knee that wasn't 100%.

Despite all the Knee Injury stories... Holt has yet to miss time over it. Holt equals value... I would say that you have nothing to worry about from Holt himself this yr and maybe next yr... after that, who know... its very hard to call what 2 yrs in the NFL is going to do to any player.

Try trading the guy.....then look at the value you'll get vs. his expected production. He's one of the most obvious buy low candidates out there....yet he's still a buy low option. Strange. I expect top 10-15 production for the next 2-3 years.

My team is WR starved (Jennings, Ma. Clayton, J. Walker) so I was able to pull off trading the rookie 1.10 for Holt. I thought that worked better for my team this year than starting one of the Rookie WR's. We'll see.

Absolute steal.

Assuming the St. Louis Offense has a pretty good camp and preseason (no major injuries, Holt recovering nicely) I would think Holt is still a WR1 for redraft purposes. i.e. 12 or sooner.
