Towering inferno in London, 26 story apartment building burning (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately you're not alone
Yeah, my mind wandered there first too in light of everything else that's happened recently in and around London. These quotes in the article irk me, too:

London Fire Commissioner Dany Cotton described it as an "unprecedented incident", something she had not seen in her 29 years of service.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known, but is being investigated, she added.

Finger pointing already in the article about how building was not up to local sprinkler code as well. If this was an attack, surely whoever did this knew that and saw an easy exploit. Just hope I'm wrong for humanity's sake.

I have read elsewhere that the news in London have interviewed the guy whose refrigerator blew up to start the fire.  I don't know what caused the refrigerator to blow up - but this does not appear to be an "attack" of any kind.

ETA - for clarity - apparently the guy's neighbor was the one interviewed - and the neighbor relayed what his neighbor told him.

Looks like over 100 are likely dead in this.   Folks were up there for hours trapped.  I can't imagine any worse way to die.

Setting aside the possibility of blowing the water cistern on the roof and putting out the fire, how does one gameplan surviving this situation?  You're on floor 23 of 25 and fire has blocked off all internal exits and is slowly rising.
