Tracy Morgan in accident (1 Viewer)

I googled black dragon nj. Apparently it's the name of a book about racial profiling on the pike. Not sure where the author came up with it either

Can't believe anyone is defending the truck driver.
It was an accident.
Getting behind the wheel of an 18 wheeler after not sleeping for 24 hours isn't an accident.
So let me ask this. Do the industries using these drivers have any sort of regulations regarding how much sleep a driver must have? i know that pilots if they hit a certain threshold cant fly. Do truck drivers have the same? If they do and the driver violated these regulations, thats a huge difference between a driver making a very bad judgement in thinking they could drive.

FMCSA's new hours-of-service final rule:

Limits the maximum average work week for truck drivers to 70 hours, a decrease from the current maximum of 82 hours;

Allows truck drivers who reach the maximum 70 hours of driving within a week to resume if they rest for 34 consecutive hours, including at least two nights when their body clock demands sleep the most - from 1-5 a.m., and;

Requires truck drivers to take a 30-minute break during the first eight hours of a shift.

The final rule retains the current 11-hour daily driving limit and 14-hour work day.

The black dragon strikes again

:lol:

"It's always been a real source of pride for someone to say 'I worked The Black Dragon," said retired New Jersey State Police Maj. Al Della Fave. "They don't even allow troops to go out there too soon -- they want you to have minimum 18 months experience before you're even allowed to patrol The Turnpike."

The NJ turnpike at 1am on the weekend is a ghost town. Love this black dragon media crap. Try the parkway or route one at 7am on a workday.
