When you're a visionary you don't draft busts. The downside is my team is oozing with talent. I have 6 effin catchers. Everybody is trying to wait me out and I'm handcuffed by not being able to drop any. Martin will rarely get playing time once the rest of my team gets healthy. Only guy it would hurt to lose would be Weaver. But I have a massive, massive lead in my roto league (streamed a ton of guys the first couple weeks) and enough good pitchers once Greinke comes back to probably absorb the hit. It depends. If you're a believer Cruz will turn things around and be the player people expected, it's a very good offer. I'm interested tom see where they stack up over the last couple years in points leagues. I'm gonna find out. I don't have time to do the math this minute but I will later unless someone else wants to handle it. I'm off to throw some cards. I bet per AB Cruz is right there with Braun. I know he's an injury risk but if he did happen to stay healthy all year he'd put up some monster numbers. In 2009 he spent the least amount of time injured. He still only had 462 ABs but he poked 33 dongs and swiped 20 bags. Writing this post just made me realize the Rangers issues with keeping guys healthy. Going back to Hank Blalock who lived on the DL, the Rangers have had a real problem with their stars. Cruz, Kinsler and Hamilton are 3 of the most oft injured players in the game. Heh, they even had Rich Harden for a while over that stretch.

You are right that Cruz' rate of production is among the best....most projections for him discout a good percentage of AB because of the injury history - if not for that he would be right up with Pujols on projected value. (If I can find what we did this spring on him I will post it)

Really depends on what you need. Konerko's probably going to hit around 15 more HRs, just like Choo's going to steal around 15 more bases.I would project Konerko to have the edge in RBIs and Runs, but only slightly.Choo should hit for about 15-20 points higher.Anything you lose SB wise with Konerko could be made up by Fuld, but I think that story is close to overSoria = Krod, plus Soria's velocity is down. I think that's a great deal even if Pablo were healthy. I'm not convinced there's going to be as big a difference between Youk and Tiex as there will be between Abreu and Bruce.

In a deep league Teixera is a first rounder and his ADP next year will be well inside the top 20.I think you need to ask for a bit more. Maybe Teix+_____ for Braun? Maybe put another package together and start negotiations with the Cargo owner.
It's an auction league. Teixeira was bought at 40 something. Hosmer carries a value of $8 and Sanchez will be worth $6 in 2012. Or thereabouts anyway.

I'd do this in a heartbeat. Choo is going to rebound, and he'll be solid when healthy. Gordon's already shown signs of cooling off, and De La Rosa is nothing special.

I would keep Tex unless its a very deep league where a guy like Polanco has significant value over the WW options. I like Rasmus, but he doesn't have a track record that puts him in the same ballpark as Tex.

Mostly agree. I'm not particularly a fan of anyone involved in this deal, but you're not giving up a whole lot to take a chance on a Choo rebound. De La Rosa and Gordon both used to have high ceilings, but at this point I think "he is what he is" applies to both.'bucs4life_99 said:

I was offered to give up Morneau for his Kinsler and Fuentes (who is almost worthless IMO). There have been zero trades, first year for me in this league, so I probably wouldn't be able to flip Phillips or Kinsler very easily. 12 team, h2h, yahoo scoring.

@Beau - Pretty even deal IMO, but I am a huge fan of Bautista. I doubt Carpenter, Beckham and Ludwick have enough value for him to take this deal. BTW, sounds like Victorino is going to the DL.
@CBoys - You probably just want to pick someone up and wait it out unless you hear that he that Wright will be out for much longer. I would like the idea of aquiring a cheap steals guy, but Figgins may not be as good at that role anymore. He's only 7-12 this year. I like both Sherzer and Gonzalez. How are you doing in each cat? If you really don't need the ERA/WHIP, you could do the deal for Youk.
@rascal - I love this deal. Kinsler has always hit when healthy and he has had some ridiculously hot summer tears. Add in that .236 BABIP and this guy has some hits coming to correct his AVG. Morneau is one of those guys with too many question marks to hold at his current value. It seems like people are trying to hit on his turnaround, but his upside just isn't big enough anymore with the new stadium and the lineup around him.
