Redraft league (6 pts/TD, 1 pt/20 yds pass, 1 pt/10 yds rush/rec, -2 fumble/int, 1 pt/rec)

Team A:   Lamar Jackson and Kenny Golladay

Team B:  Jared Goff and Tyreek Hill

Which team did better?

Team A by a long way in my opinion.  Jackson is a game winner any week........Goff is not.   Golladay will be a consistent 100 yd and a TD play every week (not saying he gets those every week but it is highly likely) where Tyreek has a little more boom/bust and lacks a bit of the consistency.

It's not about who wins the trade.  It's about making your team better.  Without knowing the rest of your team or which side you received, it's tough to say if you made a good trade or not.  In a vacuum, @Gally is correct, I'd prefer the Team A side.  But without the rest of your team we can't say for sure. 

Scenario A -- You gave Lamar and Golladay, received Goff and Hill.   You could already have Wilson at QB, and if the rest of your team is solid then you just upgraded your WR1 to Hill, and gained the ability for one player to go bonkers and win you the week.  Hill is way more likely to do that than Golladay.  Losing Lamar is nothing bc you weren't using him.  Good trade for you. 

Scenario B -- You got Lamar & Golladay, gave Goff and Hill.  You significantly upgraded at QB (Goff to Lamar) at the cost of a slight downgrade (but gain in consistency: Hill to Golladay) at WR.  Good trade for you.

Your bold is absolutely important when trading.  Too many times I have seen teams not make a move because it helps the other team and not realizing it also helps their own significantly.  Ideally you want both teams to "win".   Those are the best trades and help keep trading lines open for future deals.

Thanks for all of your input.  The trade greatly benefits both teams so we both win IMO.

The team that traded Jackson had Herbert so to your point, he was having a hard time deciding on who to start on a weekly basis.  His other Wrs (in addition to Hill) are Anderson, AJGreen, Landry, Watkins and Antonio Brown.  His record is 3-4.

I received Jackson/Golladay in trade as I lost Dak to injury.  My other WRs (in addition to Golladay) are Fuller, Ridley, Tee Higgins, Lazard, Sanders, Kirk and Lamb.   My record is 5-2.

I wanted unbiased opinions because I had that "one owner" who replied to the trade as WTF.

I like Lamar side because of consistency of Golladay as compared to Tyreek.
