Trade help--Melvin for Kamara & Thielen (keeper involved) (1 Viewer)

1 pt ppr, league, auction draft, 1 keeper (that's important for this trade).

starters: 1 qb, 2 rbs, 2 wrs, 1 te, 1 flex (wr/te/rb), 1 k, 1 def

My team:

RBs: Melvin Gordon, Mixon, Doug Martin, Gore, Smallwood, Gallman, Woodhead (IR)

WRs: Brandin Cooks, Doug Baldwin, Demaryius Thomas, Tyrell Williams, Corey Davis

Melvins Keeper price would be $28 next year

Kamara's keeper price would be $6 next year

Other keeper values worth considering: mixon $20, martin $17, davis $2, demaryius $28

My thoughts here are that Kamara and Melvin right now are pretty close value wise, with Melvin having a slight nod.  That said, I'm worried about Melvin injury wise every week, and Kamara's role should continue to increase.  Kamara also presents a big oppty next year as a keeper if he ends up being a top 10 rb this year, would only have to pay $6 out of $200 budget.

Can you keep Gordon next year? Is there a limit on # of times you can keep someone?  $28 out of $200 is cheap for a top 5-6 back, I'd rather just keep Gordon if you can.  Gordon is involved in the passing game already, and while Kamara is showing all kinds of promise, I don't see him as a top 10 back just because of the offense he's in, he's not going to get the volume required to be one

Yeah I can keep Gordon next year, it'd be my 2nd year keeping him, and I could keep him 1 additional year after that for $38 (3 year max on keepers, 1st yr you pay auction price, then +$10 each addtl year).

I'd keep Gordon then, that's still a cheap price even in year 3

I treat leagues with only one keeper more of a redraft than a true keeper league.  One player doesn't usually make much of a dent either way from year to year and there is a long way between now and then to worry about that aspect.  Play for this year and for this year I would much rather have Gordon.  I wouldn't make the trade.
