Trade or Hold Fitzgerald? (1 Viewer)

Kolb is probably going to be out for awhile with broken ribs.. Skelton is probably a sack away from being out again and was horrible when he played.... Oline is in shambles, no running game with half the RBs banged up or on IR....Ariz is going down FAST.

I think its time to see what you can get for Fitz?

Thoughts?

Fitz has played with garbage QBs for a good part of his career. He's too great of a talent to think he won't find a way to be productive. His numbers aren't great enough yet this season to get true value in return, so I would definitely hold. As he always does, he will be productive.

True but has he been in this type of scenario before? I may be overstating things but it appears to be hopless going forward....

If Skelton stays upright Fitz's value will remain the same/increase (slightly). If you want to sell Fitz predicated on Skelton going down again, go ahead, but trying to predict injuries is largely ######ed.

Skelton started weeks 9-17 last year (except Week 13). In PPR scoring, Fitz averaged 18.63 points during that span (though he had 2 of his worse weeks mixed in). In Weeks 1-8, he averaged 14.63.

Skelton was named the starter to begin the year, one assumes, because he was the better QB. Based on QB styles, Skelton has more of a tendency to lock onto Fitz and is more "fearless" (subjective) in forcing passes.

The fact that Skelton is back (if healthy) is a good think in my opinion. Now, that O-line.......

I wouldn't deal him. They've made a conscious effort to get him the ball and that's only going to continue. About as safe a guy as there is in terms of "getting his".

agree with above.

if anything, i find this the best time to sit on fitz.

the cards will likely have to lean on fitz more than ever and skelton notoriously always looked fitz way.

Skelton is good for Fitz, compared to Kolb. However, Skelton is not as mobile as Kolb and that o-line has never been worse. So, I can see the concern but think, overall, unless a deal drops on your head that is too juicy to ignore, you just hold and ride it out.

And that's an odd thing to say (ride it out) because we are talking like it is just a mess for Fitz but in reality, in my ppr, he is a top 12 WR and has been steady every week except that one crazy week against New England.
