Trade Philip Rivers for Booker? (1 Viewer)

10-team standard league.

What do you think of Devontae Booker? He's getting the touches, but not doing much with them. I already have Tom Brady, and Matthew Stafford and Tyrod Taylor are available on waivers. The dude needs a QB, so should I hold out for more? Or do you think Booker's worth the gamble?

Thanks for any help.

In 10 team leagues the QB is a very devalued position so it is hard to trade one for anything of value.   If Stafford and Taylor are available on the wire I would be surprised if you will be able to get more for Rivers in a trade.  I don't care for Booker and think he is more of a RB2/3 for the ROS but you don't need Rivers at this point and if Booker is better than your current starters go for it.

Your best bet would be to sell him on how easy Rivers' schedule is the rest of the season.  Assuming your champ.game is in Week 16, Rivers gets Cleveland that week.  What are your other RBs currently?  I agree that Booker isn't really a great target to trade for, as it's going to be difficult to start him in the playoffs bc he's sharing with Bibbs, has a bad ypc average, and just doesn't have a ton of upside the way Anderson did in that offense.  BUT, if you're RB desperate then I don't think you'll get much better for Rivers, as Gally said.  But if you've got a good RB corps and don't really need Booker, then hang onto Rivers.  There's a chance that Brady and the Pats clinch the division early if Miami loses a couple, and you might be looking at Brady only playing 1/2 the game in Week 16 if they've secured home field advantage already.  Plus, Brady plays against Denver in Week 15, so you might decide (I know, sacrelige to think of benching Brady) to play Rivers over him that week.

Yeah, I'm looking at Mark Ingram, Thomas Rawls, Terrence West and Jordan Howard.

Appreciate the help.

So he also has Spencer Ware, Dion Lewis, Tevin Coleman and Stefon Diggs. I'm not sure how much I can push for, though. As the other guy said, it's a 10-team league so QBs are valued lower. Frankly, I think he's really the only one looking for a QB.

shoot for the moon and ask for Ware.  The worst he can say is no.  Maybe offer to throw in your #4 RB out of the group you mentioned (probably be West for me)
