Trade Rodgers? (1 Viewer)

12 team redraft PPR

Have been offered Julio Jones and Phil Rivers for Aaron Rodgers and Larry Fitz

My backup QB is currently Palmer with not much on the wire - Cutler, Smith, Bradford

Current Wr's are AB, Hill, Fitz, Parker, Anderson

Love the idea of a AB/Julio combo but I'd obviously be weak at QB. Make the deal or hold?

I would do that as fast as you can.  Rivers should be solid all year and even though this is a downgrade at QB it is not as big as the upgrade at WR.  I would easily pull the trigger on that deal.

Easy accept.  Julio goes in the 1st round and Rodgers goes what in the 2nd or 3rd in redraft?  It's as simple as that in my mind.

Can't say it any better!  Gally beats me to the punch!

Do the deal immediately.

PPR points per game last year Link

Rodgers 23.8 Fitz 15.3 Total 39.1

Rivers 16.2 Julio 18.6 Total 34.8

You lose a net of 4.3 points per game. An argument could be made that Fitz (and Palmer) is getting older and make decline a bit. But Julio (and Ryan) isn't likely to keep the pace they were at last year. Rivers is older but should have more/better weapons around him this year. Rodgers is just going to be a his studly self.

How many points for a passing TD in your league?

If it's four points per passing TD - I would make the trade.

If it is six points per passing TD - I have to think about this trade a little more.

Green Bay offense can really stretch the field in the passing game with Montgomery at RB and those receivers. The Packers are built more around Rogers this year than the last several years, when they had Lacy and Starks at RB.

My opinion is that this trade is a fair trade, with good arguments going both ways.  This trade really come down to one's preference.

I would stand pat because this is a redraft league, and the down grade of Rodgers to Rivers is about the same or a little more than the down grade of Jones to Fritz.

Rivers is a good & solid QB, but I personally like Rodger's up side this year especially in six point per passing leagues.

I recommend to go with your gut feeling about this trade.
