Trade Targets: Who Are You Looking to Snag? (1 Viewer)

We're 5 games in. Who are you looking to trade for at this point? Which guys are undervalued relative to what they'll put up the rest of the year? Thinking redraft, non-PPR here.

Some of mine:

RB

Steven Jackson

Sproles

Ryan Torain

WR

Brandon Marshall

A.J. Green

Mike Thomas

I think Sproles is a sell high. He has definitely carved out a nice little niche in the Saint O, but in a non-PPR, his value will most likely start to decline

I've got a guy trying to sell me on S Jax in my league. I'm not interested in the least.
Why not? The Rams have played some pretty tough opponents so far and should be better coming out of the bye. Jackson is healthy now and has always put up top 15 RB numbers even when the Rams have been horrible on offense.

Marshall.....aiming since this morning.....oops, I missed the NON -PPR....scratch the marshall thought... mendenall would top my list

Llyod should be a shark target. He put up good numbers with Tebow last year and he's the guy more likely to get open while stretching a defense that's trying to contain the QB. Most of his owners are assuming the worst and will easily dump him in a fire sale.

I'd much rather have Lloyd than Marshall. With no idea of how Moore will look, he's an unpredictable good, although you can probably get him cheap as well.

Tolbert is the best back I can think of targeting. Matthews has shown once again that a full load could kill him- if he goes down, there's no doubt in my mind that Mike becomes a top 10 back.

I think I could get a deal done that will turn McFadden into Ray Rice. This league has a 4 week, 2 team playoff that would have Rice facing Cleveland twice and Indy once.

I have Sproles, Felix, and SJax on the trade block this week. Already received an offer of Dez for SJax. I'm selling SJax unless I get a better offer.

Tebow reportedly has a tough release for receivers to judge. It just so happens that adjusting to the ball is Lloyd's strength. I agree.

Because I don't think he lives up to what the guy in my league is asking. In other words some, probably not all, are overvaluing his name.

Chris Johnson is THE player to target this week and its not even close.

Reasons he's cheap:

1) It's his bye week

2) Injury "scare"

3) Relatively unproductive to date

Reasons to buy:

1) Jackie Battle just laid 140 yards on Indy - what will Johnson do in his TWO upcoming games? Schedule is cake!

2) Hasselbeck is flat out beating teams - DC's will respect him moving forward.

3) TN transitioned to a zone blocking scheme & Johnson (missing TC) had to learn it - he has, and will soon begin to kick ####.

It's going to cost you a player or two that have won you games; that you're loyal too. But now is not THE time to lump them and make a play for the RB that can help you win a trophy.

Lloyd is a good call. I just looked at the top 200 going forward they have him as WR31 and 88th overall. That's absurd! Last year his stat line with Tebow were 4-79-1, 5-111-0, 5-73-1 which was good for 12.2 points a week and the 8th best receiver for those weeks.

I have Lloyd in a league and hope you are right, but lets see how he does besides 3 late season games with Tim. Those games were against some of the lesser defenses at the end of the year. Now it's in the middle of the year with all still in contention so it will be different.

The fact he did it for three weeks is enough evidence to show he has the upside with Tebow at quarterback to make him more than WR31.

Sure, but he was also the leading WR in yards last year so which came first - him having a break out season or Tebow providing him with more upside? I'll be conservative and say it was Lloyd having a breakout season more than who is throwing it. He hasn't exactly been lighting it up with Orton this year.

Bought low on Dez last night.

10 team PPR with 4 keepers.

I traded AJ Green (my 4th WR behind Mega, Nicks & Holmes) as well as my 3 and 5 next season

for

Dez, Jets DST and an 8th and 10th round pick next season.

I wasnt the biggest Dez fan heading in but I'm hoping since he's now 100% and with a VERY sweet schedule that he can give me a nice boost for the next 2 quarters of the season.

Relative to last year, Orton hasn't been near the same quarterback statistically so you can make the case that Tebow gives him a better chance to succeed. I was down on Lloyd coming into the year because I thought his stats had a lot to do with McDaniels but I think this quarterback change is actually good for his fantasy prospects and I'm pretty sure the top 200 going forward reflects the opposite view.

I think Dez and Green are a wash this year and Green edges Bryant in dynasty. That's just my opinion.

For some reason Green just gives me a not so good feeling. Not that the talent isnt there but there's just something about him that I don't like. His schedule gets pretty bad coming up so we'll see...of course, it's very possible that I'm wrong and he's a super-star.

Was targeting CJ offered MJD straight up, he countered with CJ and Rivers for Gore and Rothesberger. Havent hit accept yet but I think I'm going to take it.

Targeting Roddy for sure, but based on the post above mine, maybe CJ or Rivers too.

Honestly, I just look for the best players on the teams with bad records. Normally they're down on their guys and looking to change things up. I make a shorter list of targets from that group.

Dynasty? What are you waiting for?
I got a good offer as well for players I wanted and was targeting (McCoy), just wondering if it really helps me.He offered me Shady McCoy, Rivers, Marshall, and Starks for Turner, Colston, MWTB, and S. Greene.Non-ppr so Marshall is even to MWTB in my eyes with his new QB in Moore, and I already have Stafford, but Rivers is not gonna suck all year, right?

What are you waiting for? I couldn't hit accept fast enough if I were you. Starks is like the 12th option for the Packers, Turner is on his figurative and Colston on his literal last leg, MWTB is probably not as good as he showed last year, and Green is.

Oh man, this one is even worse. Accept Accept Accept

I've been trying to snag Romo in most leagues, even to the point of trading off better QBs for him and another piece. With all of the Dallas injuries (Miles, Dez, Romo's ribs), and their bye last week - I'm finding that it's a great time to buy him cheap. Also doesn't hurt that he threw all those picks against Detroit in his last game.

So far I've sent Stafford for Romo+Dez in a redraft, and am working on a deal in another league where I'll send Rivers for Romo+Tolbert or someone.

Just got SJax and Daniel Thomas for Steve Smith and V Cruz.
:X
Getting two top 20 backs for a top 5 receiver and a top 30 receiver seems pretty fair to me.
I don't ever like giving up the best player in a trade, and this year could be special for Smitty and he could put up more points than S Jax/D Thomas combined. That's exactly what he's doing in my league 5 weeks in.I have little to 0 faith in S Jax anymore. Daniel Thomas....meh.

Lately I've been shopping a package of Ingram/A.Brown, looking to acquire a top 10 WR, like Nicks or Wallace. Someone will bite, there's too many teams in my league desperate at RB. I may use the recently acquired Jackie Battle to sweeten the pot.

Who in their right mind would give you either Nicks or Wallace for Ingram/Brown? I have a guy that makes offers like this in a league I'm in as well. Everyone in the league mocks him for his lowball 2 for 1's.

We'll see. You don't play in my league dude.

Got offered:

Stafford & Andre Johnson

for

Romo, Gore & A.J. Green

I turned that down. I see the QBs and WRs about equal so I'd just be giving Gore away for nothing. Countered with Torian & Garcon for Andre Johnson and he passed.
