Has anyone ever traded draft picks in a redraft league or known of any owners who have? Do you think it is fair?

here is the proposed trade in our league:

picks 1.10, 15.10 & 16.3

for

picks 3.12, 4.01 & 5.12

no way would i give up a 3rd, 4th and 5th round pick for basically a late 1st rounder.

Trading draft picks is a routine practice in the majority of leagues. No clue why anyone would even consider it to not be fair.I could maybe see someone preferring not to be able to trade picks/players from this year for stuff the following year in a redraft. Though in a dynasty or keeper doing so would be normal, not unusual.

I assume he means something like team A trades its round 1 and 5 for team B's rd 2 and 3...next year.
