Obviously the Broncos RB situation is always a topic of interest on this board. I'm curious to know what people think of Henry for 2008. IIRC Henry won his appeal and will not face a suspension in 2008. I'm sure there will be RBBC to some degree in DEN.

Does anyone think Henry can put up RB1 numbers?

I tend to think he'll make a decent RB2 or a great RB3/ Flex.

What is his upside/ downside in 2008?

Thoughts?

as a Henry owner in 2 dynasty league I am interested in thoughts as well. Any Denver homers out there? I think he can be productive in Denver's running system. I hope they do not draft a RB.

You are dreaming here with Shanny. There's 20-ish good draftable RBs, and Shanahan will take AT LEAST one.

And that may be good or bad....he's missed recently. The Denver RB thing is something we're going to be talking about thru preseason, I can hardly fathom up enough strength to talk about it now.

I don't hold much stock in Henry, but then again it's not like Selvin Young did anything to cement himself last season with all the problems Henry had.

I think the Broncos for the first time in awhile NEED to focus on improving their defense heading into the season, so maybe it will be Young and Henry. If that were the case, then Henry would hold some value.

If you have to make any decisions now on the Denver RB situation.....I'm pretty cold on trying to pick one that will actually have a season that's worth mentioning.

I mean, what facts or insight would we realistically have in saying that Travis Henry is going to put up 1200 and 10 Td's this upcoming up season besides that if you say that about a bunch of running backs, eventually you may be correct. I just can't see it ATM.

The bigger issues are on the O-line and the defense, so that seems to be the likely focus during the draft.

However, like I said, Shanny loves RBs. I'd expect him to take one in the middle of the draft (Rounds 3-5) as yet another RB to plug into the machine..... but the machine is starting to fall apart along with the line.

I just took the 25% penalty and cut his sorry butt in my auction dynasty. I'm done with Denver backs and plan to stay that way. You might hit gold with one of them sometimes, but when you've got salary behind it, it's not worth it imo.

More likely that he takes one in rounds 5-7, and then brings a few undrafted free agents in to show everyone he still has the best eye for talent when it comes to RB's.

I am fed up with the Denver RB mess as well. be trying to sell Henry but no takers. this time last year he was a hot commodity

I'm starting to think that in dynasty leagues, Denver RBs don't really have value beyond that of a 29 year-old starter like Jamal Lewis. Because frankly, you can never count on them to start for more than 1-2 years, at which point Skeletor will draft a new guy or sign some random free agent to compete for a starting spot.

I've basically decided to never own another Denver RB, unless as an opportunistic pickup (to use as trade bait later).

concur.I'm stashing Selvin in a couple of leagues, but I'm not depending on him in 2008.Henry may surprise on the upside, but itwill be for other owners to enjoy.

Henry will get at least 240 carries and a lot of touches inside the red zone assuming he is healthy.
I currently have him as my #3 RB and trying to move him for Turner. I'm beginning to wonder if that might actually be a mistake, especially given the fact that I have to pay some to "upgrade". Henry, while definitely risky after last year, could present a HUGE value. I personally hate the guy now after I was all over the Henry bandwagon last year and he disappointed. But I wouldn't be surprised if he hits what he was predicted to do last year but this year instead.

Not much sence in trading him now. People expect you to give him away.

I'm think he can easy put up good RB2/3 numbers and be worht a little bit about mid season.
