I've got Heath Bell at $2, who looks to be a halfway decent bet to replace Hoffman when he retires. Is it going to be after this year? He got scoped at the end of last season, but how healthy is he?

Any SD homers input would be appreciated.

Hoffman can't pitch forever and he's in the last year of his contract.

Bell has a chance to eventually replace him but he's no sure thing. He's 30 and has one good year out out of the past three. Bell is a viable keeper if you can use him as part of a viable LIMA strategy for this year (and if you think he can stay at his current performance level) but I wouldn't drive myself nuts trying to project the closer of the future in SD. There are too many variables.
