I agree.. i mean kill yourself is one thing... but pulling the trigger on one kid... then the other? I can't even imagine the mindset one must be in to do that.

Baseless speculation, but I imagine somebody that far round the bend might rationalize it as they are sparing the kids the fallout and ending them sounds more humane than subjecting them to it. Or maybe some kind of afterlife belief that they are going together.Supremely ####ed, whatever the case.

Just heard of another story where a guy just killed his wife with a chainsaw, then killed himself with the chainsaw next.

Not sure which scenario takes more Krazy, to kill your kids with a gun or yourself with a chainsaw.

Working where I do, I learned a long, long time ago that is is a total waste of time to try and rationalize things like this. It's not possible.

Guess I'll start prefacing my horrible stories with "My neighborhood" so I don't get called Posty.

 
The murdered families next door neighbor was quoted, "the family was playing out in the yard all weekend, the boys were riding scooters in the street, and the family playing football in the yard. Why would a man put his trash at the curb if he was going to kill his whole family?"

Drove by last night and the medical examiner and about 10 police cars were present at the house. The local news people were all out with their vans doing live interviews. The entire house was barricaded with that yellow police tape.

The 10 year old boy was known in the neighborhood by my twins, and always had a "happy go lucky smile."

That's so messed up.

 
I know life goes on, but it is so weird to see their cars still in the drive, mowed yard, trash cans lined up perfectly. Like every other house in neighborhood just a normal home with normal people. They handed out a letter to each kid today at the murdered children's school. Basically stating if you need to talk someone is here and ready to listen. We spoke to our twins last night and I don't think at 11 years old they comprehend everything or it hasn't sunk in just yet. Hell it hasn't sunk in with me, and I really can't make sense out of it. Both of the parents were successful people, with the father holding several patents. Who knows????

There was a murder-suicide the other day around here. The husband killed the wife with a chainsaw, then killed himself with the chainsaw. All while the 14 year old son was outside shooting hoops in the driveway. A ####### chainsaw!
