Which foursome (QB, RB, WR, TE) had the highest Value in a year? The top one I found is the 1994 49ers.Steve Young 179Ricky Watters 98Jerry Rice 141Brent Jones 68Total 486Can anyone find a better group?

1987 Niners are competitive:Montana: 132Rice: 216Craig: 51Frank: 1399; not bad for a strike year.

I keep randomly picking teams to add up and they're all killed by the TE.The 1999 Rams are:Warner 153Faulk 185Bruce 72No TE > 0Total 410

It's hard to compare, but I think the 1942 Green Bay Packers might win this one. Even if you readjust the baselines, Hutson's 1211 yards and 17 TDs is almost pure VBD, and Isbell threw for 2021 and 24 TDs when there were only three other QBs who threw for even 1000 yards. And that's in only 11 games.

Yeah, if we could calculate way back, we might find some pretty good combos. Unitas, Moore, Berry, and Mackey probably put together a good year or two.

How was Minnesota when Chamberlain had a good season at TE?
Chamberlain's best year was a 9 and that was a year (2001) Culpepper split time due to injury and they had absolutely no running game.

QB12, TE12, RB24, WR36.
I actually use WR30 as sort of a compromise. In most years, there is probably little difference between WR30 and WR36, but just so you know...Here is an article that addresses a related (but not identical) question. It won't give you your answer, but it might be a good starting point.

Wow, that's going to be tough to beat.
I don't think it can be beat, but I'm not sure if it should even count. 1982 was the strike-shortened 9 game season and the VBD numbers on PFR appear to be prorated.

tooo lazy

what about Barry Sanders, Scott Mitchel, herman moore... maye perriman over a TE...
1995 looks to be the best year to use:Mitchell 133 (his only season of much value)

Sanders 122 (not his best)

Moore 133 (his only season over 100)

Hall 0

Pretty sure the '82 Chargers are the winners, by far. The '82 VBD numbers are not prorated.

The '95 Cowboys may have the highest numbers with a zero from the QB.'95 CowboysAikman 0Smith 224Irvin 100Novacek 33357

If not, then how did Wes Chandler score 160 FP and have a VBD of 190?
