TSA offering cash for ideas to speed up screening lines (1 Viewer)

hey do this try driving somewhere once ina while you get to see our great country and half the fun is getting there and crazy thing you might actually talk to your kids or wife and get to know them a little i know that sounds old fashioned but hey it worked for a hell of a long time take that to the bank brohans
Absolutely agree. If it is within 12 hours I drive.

I drove to South Carolina (from Minnesota) twice last year. Drove to New Orleans in March. Drove to the Grand Canyon in May. And am driving to Boston beginning tomorrow...with us (my wife, daughters and I) introducing our girls to 12 new States (on their States visited list) and Ontario on our round-trip. Stops in Chicago, NYC, Niagara Falls, etc. It's a TON of time in the van! But I can guarantee you that it'll be ten-times more interesting than waving at 2-3 landmarks from 35,000 feet. And after that, it'll be Alaska to go, and I can say I've spent boots-on-the-ground time in all 50 US States.

But back on-topic: I had never heard of the TSA pre-check before either. There's you're winning idea right there: ADVERTISE THE FRIGGIN' SERVICE! How many millions of people who fly a lot would pony-up $85 to not need to be subjected to all the B.S. of taking off shoes and unpacking laptop bags?! It's the best idea anyone is going to submit related to both saving the TSA money and cutting down the time it takes to make it through security checkpoints.

Well at first it was only open to people that airlines selected if I read right. The people they considered priority customers. I think it is only recently they basically thrown it open to all. But I could be mistaken.

I wonder what would happen if Muhammad Ahmed Al-Munawar, using a real passport in a different name, plopped down 85 bucks to get pre checked

The TSA wont ever be fixed because it was never intended for security in the first place. Its there to let you know they can control you and keep you waiting in lines and jumping through hoops like the cattle they consider you to be.

Just one more soul crushing obstacle with no purpose, intended to strip any of the shreds of hope and humanity you may have left.
Who is "they", exactly?
The sociopaths thats control banking and governments.
:wall:
You are right, there are no extremely evil people in positions of power in the world.

What was I thinking?
That bankers want long airport security lines for some unfathomable reason
Don't know about bankers wanting long lines. But someone in politics wanted long lines to drive between NY and. NJ.

I've always wondered what would happen if you go through security in a gorilla suit, or maybe a clown outfit and do one of those magic tricks where you go through the metal detector, it beeps and you pull out a giant horn from your pants, then you go through again, it beeps and you pull out a fish, repeat over and over.

I would hope that guy would get severely beaten with a sack full of nickels.
