turner in a dynasty (1 Viewer)

So based on a few decent runs in mop up duty Turner is the next great RB.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but this is where I think we're working from different sources of information. Who thinks Turner is great because of a few decent runs in mop-up duty?

When I see Turner run, I see speed, violence, and power. I see determination and excellent vision/instincts.
That's what I see as well.I've said before, and I still mean it, that I think Turner is just as good a pure runner as Tomlinson. If someone were to tell me (as many have -- although not within the last year) that they've seen Tomlinson run and they aren't impressed -- well, I have the exact same reaction when someone tells me that they've seen Turner run and they aren't impressed. I don't know what to say except that I guess different people are impressed by different things. C'est la vie. Viva la difference. Etcetera.

Turner has superb power... I think. Why am I not entirely convinced? Because in just about every highlight he is untouched until he has a full head of steam, then bowls somebody over.
Turner has had lots of runs in which he's been hit in the backfield. (And then bounced off for positive yardage.)
Concerning his lateral quickness... he is average at best. It's not that he can't make a cut, it's that he isn't built to make a sharp cut and accelerate quickly enough to make something more out of that cut. That's because....
Turner is a great one-cut runner. His first cut is very quick. But you're right that he isn't a multi-cut guy like Clinton Portis or LaDainian Tomlinson or Reggie Bush who can cut one way and then make a juke and reverse direction quickly.
... he doesn't have great INITIAL acceleration.
I think his initial acceleration, along with his power, is one of his best qualities. Turner and Tomlinson have pretty much identical top-end speed, and they also have pretty much identical initial acceleration, IMO.
I don't care about 1st qtr splits, 4th qtr ypc, or anything like that.
I don't either, but it's worth pointing out that his YPA in the first half is higher than his YPA in the second half, so people who are saying he's only effective in garbage time are wrong.
In '04 Jesse Chatman got 6.0 yards per carry behind LT.
There is absolutely no comparison between Jesse Chatman and Michael Turner. Throw out the stats and just watch them run. It's not close.
