I bought this tv about a year ago from Best Buy. I think I posted about it in the 4K thread but I can’t find it.
Bought the CX at the beginning of the year.Got the Sony Bravia X90J a week ago. 75" Very happy with it. Wanted to pull the trigger on the A90J, an OLED at about 2x the price. Couldn't do it.
Yeah if I went for OLED, was either the Sony or the LG. Was leaning Sony but who knows what I would have done. Brother has the A90J. He loves it.Bought the CX at the beginning of the year.
Wife last night while watching Yellowstone: Wow, the picture looks awesome
I almost cried.
I won't tellI have an older Sony 55 Bravia in our living room. At the time we bought it (like 10-12 years ago) it was top of the line. Now I hate it, but my wife is one of those, "It ain't broken and we have other things we can spend money on right now," type people. I really want an 85 but would settle for a 75.
Would it be dirty pool of me to just slowly start adjusting the settings so the screen gets darker and darker every week?
Life is short my man. Whether it's the $1,500 TV or the $150,000 remodel, if you can afford it, do it. I'm 49 and I'm on the other side of age. I'm good with that, but I'm not gonna sweat the things I can handle, even if it means financing a little debt here and there. I also sold my oldass 60" TV for $100 to help offset the cost.I have an older Sony 55 Bravia in our living room. At the time we bought it (like 10-12 years ago) it was top of the line. I've had a projector in my basement since 2012 with a 110" screen - Once I can get a decent/good 100"+ TV down there for less than $1000, I'm immediately dumping that projector. That's roughly where the decent not quite good 85" TVs are now. I'm guessing that is coming this time in 2026 or so.I’m pretty excited for the sub $400 100” TV that is an inevitability at this point. A few years ago a 75” TV was at the same price point that 100” are today.

Damn, I just bought the same Hisense but 55" for like $340 from Amazon only 5 days ago. And it's actually too big for the space. I would love to return it and grab your deal instead, but returning a TV would suck.Walmart has a Hisense 50" 4k for $138! Might be perfect for my mother-in-law.
