This is terrible. They took out the best part, Charlie, and added another Alan. Has there ever been a worse character from a popular show?

Also, isn't the ex-wife a previous part of the show?

To make the wife happy I did not put on football and let her watch what she wanted to... it was this show.... horrible. Absolutely horrible. How exactly did they kill off Charlie anyways?

Overdose.

That was awful. Berta was REALLY creepy and so was the mom actually. They always towed the line but tonight they jumpedright over it all episode. Umbrella! Umbrella! Yuk! :X

If there is one thing I have learned from the FFA it is that if the general consensus is that something sucks there is a good possibility I will like it.

I feel like there's a pretty good chance that these people are playing the hipster card here. Are any of you wearing turtlenecks?

This show really was not nearly as bad as you people are making it out to be.
Yes it was.
I can't really name more than a handful of network television sitcoms over the past 4 or 5 years that have been consistently good for at least a chuckle or two each episode. Can you?

This show's popularity makes me weep for the future. Mind-numbingly awful.
:goodposting: Then again this show proves that pretty much anyone could write a show and at worst it would be on par with this show.By the way, does anyone watch that "sitcom" with the obese couple? Does it produce good ratings?

I'm sitting here in my hockey jersey, watching 2 1/2 men in syndication, listening to Bon Jovi all the while roasting marshmallows over a fire I started with Phish and a bunch of promo albums from bands only 4 people have ever heard of.

I don't think all of those are network sitcoms. I'm probably off, but I think that clips your list down to like 4 or 5.I've watched 30 Rock about a half-dozen times, but it just seems so incredibly pretentious to me (and yes, I'm the guy who just called you all hipsters). I don't think I've ever laughed once. It blows me away that a show that has Tracy Morgan in a fairly sizable role actually has been successful. To me, he's always been like a poor man's David Alan Grier or something. Also, the humor (what I could detect of it, anyway) seems like the kind of humor you'd get from a chick flick or a female standup comedian or something.I've never seen Parks & Recreation. For some reason, I have it in my head that it was/is a spinoff of 30 Rock. No?I've seen How I Met Your Mother. I wanted to get into it, but for whatever reason, it just never stuck with me. I think I'm just sick of Doogie Howser's whole Bob Saget-like renaissance. There have been some laughs though.Scrubs, Modern Family, and The Office are all awesome shows.

I just finished the second one a week ago. They did a great job with the sequel.

You're right. They're not all sitcoms I listed. I missed that part of your post. I still named several great sitcoms.

But this show is horrendous. I watched a rerun after some other show once. Ugh. I kept thinking it would improve and it never did. Of course I never changed the channel and ended up watching two of them. Never again. It is painful. The canned laughter alone makes it unbearable. Then the awful, awful, delivery of the obvious 'jokes' made me want to cry.

You can watch shows even if they're not on the networks. There are loads and loads of more entertaining options. That's not even getting into the niche comedies like "And Idiot Abroad", "Life and Times of Tim", or whatever else is out there. It's very rare I love a comedy (30 Rock and Sunny are my only favorites) but that doesn't mean I'll sit through a crap comedy just because it's better than some other slop.

Imo 30 Rock was mediocre its first couple seasons. Since that time it's really hit its stride with great over the top performances from everyone.

I'll often just leave things alone if I don't like it but as a occasional funny person, having Two and a Half Men categorized as a comedy offends me. It's an insult to other shows to call it funny and when it becomes a hit it only encourages other networks to find comparable drivel.

 ####### hipster.

I never watched this show before but I have watch the last two episodes.

The most annoying part of the show for me is the laugh track.

I watched the Pan Am show, poor chicks show, Archer, Berenstein Bears, and Two and a half over the last couple of days and Two and a halfwas by far the worst. I'm watching 70's show reruns now so I'm obviously not anti Kelso.

Let's be clear here: I am in absolutely no way speaking for this season's Two & A Half Men. I'm all set with that.

And you think that Phoebe Cates was never that hot. You can't be a man.

Just to be clear, you're the one tearing down the show about the boozing, womanizing bachelor, correct?

I agree, it was pretty good with Sheen. The new version has nothing to offer. Berta took a turn for the worse.

Actually, Rose pushed him in front of a subway train in Paris.

Always Sunny

30 Rock

Parks and Recreation

Community (I'm not a fan but it usually has a few chuckles)

The Soup

The more popular version of the The Soup aka Tosh.0

How I Met Your Mother

Scrubs

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Modern Family

The Office

And I know I'm missing some.
Looking at your list I know we will never agree on comedy as I have crossed off all the shows from your list that I lasted one episode and never watched again.

as for "Two and half Men"

they need to change the " I miss my wife  " crap real soon. After only two episodes it has already gotten to the fingernails on a chalkboard for me.

"Accidentally" fell in front of a moving train in Paris.

This show has always been decidedly mediocre. That said, Alan is and always has been the best character on the show.

after he had asked Rose to marry him, but was then found in the shower with another woman while Rose was shopping......

I hope all fans of this show will check in so I can update my notebook accordingly.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Every time I see an ad for this show, I want to climb through the TV and penispunch Austin Kutcher when he shrugs with that stupid jesus look he is sporting.People watch this over MNF? Wow.
I don't like commercials so no NFL for me. This show was awful but still better than three hours of commercials.

If people don't like football, they might watch this.
That makes a lot of sense. Both sets of people have no taste.

I didn't realize Two and Half Men ran commercial free. Wonder how they get all that money to pay their former star?
