This guy was a fantasy MVP down the stretch just a couple years ago, can he recreate that magic? All aboard everybody

I didn't see it; how did he look? Frankly I am desperate at QB. I owned Romo, with Big Ben as my backup. And I don't trust Roesthlisberger in the playoffs. That game 15 matchup against the Jets bothers me greatly- I would love to pick up a guy like Thigpen, if the hype is real.

I wouldn't let that guy carry my dachsund while siting on a couch for fear that he'd drop it. Mediocre hands and slowness do not make for consistent production. Low end TE2 imo.

I think Thigpen is as good as Henne. I'd be nervous too, though. Henne was burning a hole through Bess the last month. Marshall and Henne had some sort of locker room falling out. Marshall will be the biggest benefactor of this weekends injuries.

Very little reps and he still managed to take the team down the field on an 85 yard drive. 4/6 60 yards and TD isn't shabby considering the lack of reps. For fantasy purposes he is an upgrade without a doubt. For the casual fan who likes to see an aggressive qb who isn't really afraid to go downfield he is an upgrade. As a real life qb on a team with legit playoff aspirations...probably not an upgrade.

I feel you. I watched Kerry Collins miss N. Washington high, low, left, and right. Doesn't take much to color my impression either.

a large part of his fantasy viability was his rushing ability, which was compounded by an atrocious chiefs line. his passing numbers were decent but it was his runs that put him over the top.

He was a good fantasy QB and a lousy actual QB in Kansas City when he got his trial as a starter and has not gotten a chance since.

I don't know if they are really comparable. Not sure if I've seen enough of TT to know what he can bring to the table during an entire season. I thought VY did a pretty good job today but I think he's very meh over the length of a season.

Nailed it. And as a Bears fan and Marshall owner, I couldn't be happier. I hope he puts up good numbers AND the Bess and Hartline and Fasano owners have a little bit less to be happy about.

Marshall isn't a deep threat, though. He's an intermediate route runner who makes plays after the catch. He isn't a guy you just send downfield on Go routes and hit on for bombs.

I think he is a deep threat, although his best attributes is his physicality and YAC. He's not as much of a burner who beats you with speed, but he can certainly be a deep threat by beating out his defender for the ball and going up and getting it. He did though, seem to make more plays deep his first 2 seasons after his breakout than these past 2 years. I think right about now, Marshall owners are all for some shaking up of things in that offense.

Who's a good comparable for this guy? I'm having trouble knowing what to expect in terms of his fantasy potential. Would Ryan Fitzpatrick be a good comp? Or maybe Josh Freeman?
