2025 Philadelphia Eagles - KC ribs are delicious and fall apart when they are done...like the Chiefs' dynasty in 2025. (57 Viewers)

So lame for the league to say the ejection was his suspension.

Just own it and say he spit on a guy with the game on a national stage and he was ejected but got no suspension.
The internet is worse when people quibble over semantics. That’s what this distinction is.

The NFL engages in word salad all the time, this is just another example of that.

Yes.

But usually they don't waffle like that.

The league wanted to increase penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct, which they now can without much push back from the NFLPA. The fact that Jalen Carter and the NFLPA didn't appeal the "suspension", the league now has a new precedent that spitting on an opposing player will result in a fine and a 1 game suspension. If the league says that the Carter ejection didn't serve as a "suspension" then the precedent is simply a fine. The league gets what they want by playing the semantical games here.

Yes. I was going to post the same thing but didn’t feel like dealing with the replies.

The only thing more lame is todays thread title

That’s something I hadn’t thought about, but it makes a lot of sense. Romanowski didn’t get suspended. Neither did TO. Or Sean Taylor. Or Payton Turner.

Would’ve looked pretty shady if Goodell handed out a suspension after clear precedent was in place. This would be a good opportunity to create new precedent. 🤔

Vic doesn't usually say things he doesn't mean, so him outright saying Adoree Jackson will start again this week isn't great news. Hopefully, he's got a very short leash. Maybe Carter playing and helping disrupt the pocket masks that CB2 weakness a bit, too.
In Adoree Jackson's defense, there isn't a CeeDee Lamb on the Chiefs.
In Adoree Jackson’s Defense, JuJu is a blue chipper. And Marquis Brown is a Hollywood Marquee player.

The winner of this game will be determined by which fan base does the best job of reverse jinxing.
Chiefs have the revenge factor, the heart of a champion, and the richest girlfriend... there's no stopping them. KC 40 - PHI 22
The Eagles have Sirianni's punchable face, one of the greatest sandwiches ever invented, and a play that is so good it can't even be outlawed.

Eagle 84 - Chiefs 12

Remember, Mahomes owns Fangio...
He does?
Have not heard this narrative once this week, but heard it a billion times the week leading up to the last time the 2 teams played

8-1* now

* only loss was Super Bowl LIX

Cause of those awful broncos teams

I mean thats what I said

Media did not care

"How could Fangio ever beat Mahomes"

I guess having a viable QB does actually help the defense after all

27-24 Chiefs is my gut. Hoping we can pull it off though.

No way. The Chiefs may have actually gotten WORSE since the Super Bowl. They are older with one LESS wide receiver than they played with in the Super Bowl.

The only real change the Chiefs made to their starters is a rookie LT. This one gonna be as ugly as the last one.
If you really feel that way you should bet a substantial amount on the 1.5 spread.

The fact that your reverse jinx game is so strong worries me. KC wins easy now that you posted that.

Our QB is a RB. Saquon’s legs are about to fall off after last year. No one on the Oline is healthy and Steen wouldn’t even be on 31 teams’ PS. Goedert is out again. AJ’s hammy is torn and they’re not telling us. DeVonta weighs 80lbs and won’t last.

JC is a classless thug who will get expelled before kickoff. Jordan Davis is a bust. We lost Milt, and Ojomo stinks. Nolan Smith is too small and chronically injured. Jalyx Hunt clearly stinks after Week 1. Zack Baun is just ok. Campbell is a rookie and still hurt. Q is overrated and will get exposed by Hollywood Brown. Coop is overrated, will regress and get exposed by JuJu and a slimmer, faster Kelce. Adoree Jackson is starting again. Reed is a slow white guy. Mukuba barely beat out Sydney Brown.

Chiefs- 114
Iggles- 0

Haha The Packers Crowd last night

"Thank You Jerry! Thank you Jerry"

wHY yALLs ALwaYS tALk aBoUt US ThO?
The dude played against a rookie RT. He also got smoked on the RPOs and runs where he looked like a lost puppy and was only in as a situational pass rusher. Washington last night was lucky they didn’t lose by more thanks to Love missing easy completions.

Both teams looked mediocre and the media today is acting like GB is a SB winning contender. We would’ve put 50 up on Was last night.

love is not very good. he will let them down again in the playoffs

A properly smoked Kansas City rib is not fall off the bone. The meat is tender and stays on the bone so the diner gets a nice easy chew to remove and savor the the rib, all the while absorbing all the smoke flavor, dry rub, and a little sauce on occasion.

A fall off the bone rib is more likely to come from Texas, which in light of current events with the Cowboys makes more sense.

Agree, with most of this. It's a bit premature to make any declarations about how strong a team is in week 2. Most, if not all, of the teams are still trying to create their identity. I will take a few weeks since no one plays in the preseason anymore.

I'm fine with GB getting gassed up by everyone all season, like DET last year. It will let us concentrate on taking care of business and focus on making another deep playoff run.

Was thinking the same thing. All the Detroit fans flooded the "Who is the best team in week 12" threads. Congratulations, you're the best team in November . . . how'd that work out for you?
