Sara McMann came to my MMA school today and taught the wrestling portion of class. She is pretty awesome. I know she is an Olympic wrestler, but I've never really respected woman's wrestling...she is legit. She knows her stuff, she has a great, cohesive aresenal, and she is much stronger than I expected. Much respect for her game, and for woman's MMA. Also, she is really cool, great chick.

:boxing:

Kimbo-Shamrock tonight. :excited: Assuming they make it to the cage, the ratings for this thing are gonna be huge for this atrocity. Card isn't too bad looking overall.

Did you wrestle her? Could you take her in a wrestling match? Is it okay to get a boner if you have top control?

Not really sure why, but I'm looking forward to this.

Even though Shamrock is like 500 years old, his grappling skill should still be enough to beat Kimbo, right?

I have no idea who will win or if oxygen tanks will be cage side, but I can't wait to see this free train wreck.

Still can't believe this is happening 7 years after it was supposed to. :lmao:

no. I doubt it. probably because I'd be wearing a cup.

Instagram pic of her instructing. I'm the guy in the red shirt watching intently.

ETA: this pic could also go in the yoga pants thread.

Yeah, her glutes are firing pretty good there.

It's amazing how many mma fans I know are excited to watch this ridiculousness, myself included. It's most likely going to be a horrible fight, but for some odd reason I'm really looking forward to it.

Shamrock at +285 doesn't seem right to me.
he is 52, and i can't remember the last time he won a fight. but that being said, it looks like it could be some value.
 I doubt Ken remembers either.

I dont know if Ken will even be able to take him down. Slice has a 30 some odd pound advantage. Likely a boring decision, but I'll say Slice by KO :excited: Shamrock's last 7 losses (he's 2-7 over the past decade) have been by KO. And he tested positive for roids after 1 of those victories.

Is the allure because Shamrock was one of "The Guys" when we all started following MMA? Dude is kind of a living legend/forefather in the sport.

I want to watch him and am looking forward to the fight.

It's clear he hasn't given up the needle.

About TUF - Does anyone think the poor showing by ATT will seriously damage their reputation? I mean...I haven't seen anything from any of their fighters that really suggests to me that they are training elite UFC talent. I like Hayder...but he has a very low ceiling and one dimensional game in my opinion.

Yeah, it's not good publicity. But guys like Lawler and Alvez offset the poor showing by the guys on the show. Plus there are other weight classes that could be elite level.

I think its gonna be a short .sloppy yet violent fight....its a pick`em fight for sure but only because shamrock is so old

Totally agree. I was just thinking the other night that this can't be good for their marketing. I like the idea of it, but I wonder if other gyms will be less likely to sign up for this type of show now.

Spike is stupid. They're showing a Cops marathon on the west coast instead of the fights live then showing the fights on delay.

I don't watch a lot of mma but dan charles looked reeeeeaaaaallllly out of shape. That was pretty ridiculous. Felt like I was watching tank abbott from back in the day.

so are any of these bellator guys good enough for the ufc and if so, why do they not move over?
Yes, several. 3 of the guys on tonight's card (Chandler, Straus & Pitbull) could fight in the UFC. No idea why they don't move over. Eddie Alvarez fought here forever before finally moving over way past his prime.
