UFC wagering: no longer stuck with the old thread title. The window to change it is here! (3 Viewers)

I havent been able to download the last 3 ufc fights but went over to a buddies tonight to watch
The prelims were very good and every fight on the main card as well
The main fight was boring as hell

Wow. Beat down. Completely different level. If you don't have high level grappling this dude is more than a problem. I underestimated him and overestimated DDP's ability to stuff takedowns. Domination.

Boring but impressive. I'll miss the activity DDP brought as champ. Hopefully khamzat has the illness issues fixed and can fight a couple times a year and not hold the belt hostage. Also hope there's some grapplers coming up to prevent hump fests.

Also the old Rogan is long gone, it's been awhile, but cards are so much better without him on the call. WOOOOW

I don't watch UFC much anymore, what's different with Rogan?
His analysis is extremely lazy. He seems to be seeing guys for the first time on the main cards and knows next to nothing about a lot of them when he used to know atleast a little something about everyone. He misses a lot of pretty obvious stuff, constantly yelling "its tight" for things like chokes that aren't even close to sunk in.

He used to be pretty sharp and it sure seems like he's mailing it in. Guys like Felder and DC, ladies like Sanko bring better analysis. Could just be my opinion, but it's a pretty noticeable dropoff to me.

For that matter DC is worse...

DC is 10000 x worse than Rogan

Yeah, DC was probably a bad example. My opinion on Rogan is what it is, I really loved his commentary a few years back and it's fallen off, but DC is the poster child for "it's tight"

My only bet tonight

Jiri - Khalil o1.5 rounds ✓
Merab to win ✓
Ank to win

Dana White Contender Series Season 9 Week 9

Adrian Luna Martinetti vs Mark Vologdin

Greatest fight in Contender series history.

One had over 200 significant strikes, the other 180+
Record broken for most strikes landed in Contender history (9 years). Broke the record in the 2nd round.

One nasty cut - a proverbial hole in the head.

No quit in either.
No defense after a certain point - all offense.
One dude was doing the alternating left and right knees to the body drill.

Usually only the winner gets a chance at a contract. They both got one.
Dana had to announce that early as both were sent to the hospital.

'We never give these out' said Dana about the Contender Series as a bonus is given = $25k to each.

PS - next inspired fight (that watched that previous match) had a Dagostani fighter Magomed Zaynukov who threw hands for 256 (of 401) strikes as well. Best for the show (and if it was an actual UFC weightclass fight as well). Knew not to do a boring ragdoll wrestling fight. Saw what got money and a contract and went the same route.

PSS - both women's fights this season were great as well - all 4 (winners/losers) got contracts.
