UFC wagering: no longer stuck with the old thread title. The window to change it is here! (4 Viewers)

I like Whitaker, but I wouldn't mind seeing a change up at the top of the division.

Silva is a veteran fighter and a master of surviving.   I'm definitely not going to count him out.  He can just backup the entire fight and make it a decision.

Thought the card should have been on ESPN+ to begin with.

TBH Not even sure  I'd watch on it to wait for 1 fight.

didn't realize, but looks like Bellator has Michael Page vs. Daley next week. that should be a very fun one, too bad they don't really have a TV deal anymore, do they?

I feel like I'm the only degenerate that will watch two crack heads fight if they put it on TV.

Reddit is a wonderful thing.

With that being said I'm on a date with the gf and I keep thinking of Israel.

I'm leaving it on 'cause the Brazilian full-access Fight Pass equivalent is comparatively dirt-cheap (less than $20/month), but paying PPV money for this...whew. Couldn't be me.

Yeah I definitely watched it live.

No regrets, unlike the fighters who didn't get paid.

This is fun. I wish they could go 5.
I didn't realize it wasn't going to be 5 rounds being a co-main.  What a bad card.  Whittaker has become too undependable.  Breaking down is inevitable for a guy who has played years of rugby and contact sports.  Gastelum sounds rediculous "I showed up made weight, he didn't, I'm the champ...".  Lol whatever you say "champ*".

Kelvin's walking around with the ugly new belt. Did Whittaker get stripped?
it was schtick.  He borrowed Cejudo's belt for the display.  It was kind of silly, but in the UFC, you have to keep people talking else you get left behind.  I am sure Gastelum is nervous he won't get the next title shot.

Yeah, I get it on the "if I don't do this, someone might steal my title shot" front, but still...it's super easy to root for Gastelum, but this ain't it, chief.

I seriously thought Joe Riggs was dead. Who am I thinking of? Joe Riggs maybe?
Evan Tanner and Justin Eilers are the first 2 that come to mind from the Riggs UFC-era who are dead now.

But, you may actually be thinking of Joe Riggs.   He's kind of a nutcase, he shot himself accidently at one point a few years ago, and I think he's talked about massive problems with drugs and the sauce.    He seems like his clock is ticking.   I hope I'm wrong, but....

Rightfully so.   Jacare campaigning to fight Gastelum for the interim championship.

I see Gastelum's point, but just from a "who do I like watching more" perspetive, I'd rather see Jacare get the shot.
I'd think Gastelum vs Adesanya is going to happen for interim belt very shortly. I'll say late April early May.

Adesanya doesn't cut much weight and it's a winnable fight for the future Superstar.

Oh, Bellator:

There’s been a change of plans for the professional MMA debut of former US Olympian Taekwondo specialist Valerie Loureda.

Loureda was scheduled to fight Anastasia Bruce at Bellator 215 on February 15th in Connecticut. Much like Loureda, Bruce has no pro MMA experience, but while Loureda’s amateur record is listed as 2-1, Bruce’s record is 0-12. Not exactly competitive matchmaking, to say the least.

Evidently, the commission agrees, and the fight has been rejected by Mike Mazzulli, president of the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation and also the head of the Association of Boxing Commissions.

Good free card tonight.

Renan Barao vs. Luke Sanders
Alexandra Albu vs. Emily Whitmire

Heading to the show this evening. Gonna catch the main card. Not too shabby a card. Been a few years since I've been to a UFC event.

Amazing how long it's been since Cain last fought. 2.5 years......Same night Lesnar last fought :lmao: . Fought twice in the past 5.5 years. Guy's sat out much of his prime years. I guess it's still possible given he's at HWT, but the guy was well on his way to being the best HWT ever. Guess we'll see if Father Time takes away what was his greatest advantage in that division (his gas tank)

I lean Ngannou at the + odds tonight.   Cain with a long lay off, Ngannou with the chance to knock anyone out with one punch. I'll take the plus odds. GLTA

Barberena - Luque ... Great finish.  Great battle.  Outstanding!

Kron Gracie... if the UFC is smart and they protect him a bit, he'll be the champ in no time.
