I am worried this is beginning to look like Maynard-Guida, in the way i which benavidez looks like he is getting frustrated not being able to catch Johnson, and I hope he doesn't get out of a good gameplan.

That is what I was thinking too. It is possible he won 1 of those rounds, but to speak confidently like he won both rounds is a bad, bad call. The rounds are hard to score, Benavidez has the octagon control and is being the aggressor, but I am not sure he has done enough to win the rounds. Hard to call. But he needs to get some takedowns, and i REALLY wish his corner wasn't so dopey to not recommend that
 
Real tough to call. I think Demetrius got the 1st round, and Joe got rounds 2 and 3. I also wonder if the judges are able to catch the little shots Demetrius lands on some of the breaks

Whew, glad it might not matter

 
I reslly hope that action tired Demetrius out, a lot. just realized i have more on Benavidez than i thought i put on him :scared:

Somebody must have talked to the cornerman after he said this. Glad Joe's corner told him he needed this round. I agree, taking the 5th should solidify the fight for him, if he can take it decisively. I would think the judges have to give Joe 1 out of those first 3 rounds
 
Benavidez corner after Round 4 'It's a close fight now. I'm not going to bull#### you.' .... But it wasn't after 2 rounds (corner saying it was 2-0 Benavidez)

Give Benavidez a new corner guy....that watches the fights.

I'd rather watch the women fight. Midgets that don't finish aren't entertaining. I can appreciate technique, speed, cardio, blah blah blah, but at some point you want finishes not more decisions.
 
Just put some money on Jon Jones at -1000. This could be REALLY ugly. Jones better not screw this up or I will hate him for a real long time.

 
Which guy getting title shot is more washed up -- Belfort or Bonner?

Silva/Jones obviously at a level of their own in their divisions, but I don't view either of these guys in the next tier :shrug:

Yup. I can't see any way Vitor wins this. Jones has been hit hard already, and not been screwed up by it. I don't see a path to victory, and I think the short camp for Vitor is a bad thing. I don't know if going to 205 is a good thing, because i am not sure the weight he has for it is good weight. But yeah, i am pissy i bet the Benavidez fight more than i thought i did, and this was to make up for that.
 
Did Big John, just blow off that kick fro Belfort while Jones was on the ground by saying "you wanted to play the game"? Am i hearing things, or did that happen?
