UFC wagering: no longer stuck with the old thread title. The window to change it is here! (5 Viewers)

First time I watched an event on my Nile Ice Twig device and besides 2 times it buffered it was perfect.  Beats the heck out of dodging all the spam on my laptop.  I do think it didn't "catch up" after the buffers, I seemed a little behind during the main event.  Once a bunch of new posts sprung up at once, I knew something big happened.  Maybe makes sense to restart the stream after each match.

I wonder how "Hangin with the Boyzzzzz!" Is feeling this morning with his custom jewelry and fancy designer clothes.   But no gold.

Wow. What a great card and the fights lived up to the hype. This one felt like some of the old school cards - maybe becasue GSP was back...

So, GSP is the GOAT, no questions asked now... Right?
Not exactly. He beat a good middleweight. But lets not pretend that Bisping was the best in the division. His KO of Rockhold was legit, but he was gifted decisions over Silva and Henderson by inept/corrupt judges. Both those guys smashed Bisping face in.
The only thing I learned about Bisping after 217 is that he's inferior to GSP as well as Silva and Henderson.

He's actually a pretty good bloke.  I think he's been playing the heel a long time and he's pretty dooshy in that way that all "alpha males" are, but he's not really all that bad.
yeah i think with Bisping it is much more of an act. he is also self-aware that he is being a ####. Outside of the Rivera fight, he takes wins and losses well. actually remembering his win over Rockhold, maybe not the wins as much

can you guys help me with something?

This is a video of the end of the Rose Joanna fight.

Watch closely for Joanna's tap.  Then re-watch it again, only this time watch Big John at the same time.  Why does Big John touch Rose before the tap occurs?

https://twitter.com/fbordeu/status/927646342108807168
When I saw it live, I didn't see the tap and thought he stopped it because of that. Was he already going to call it, then when he saw the tap it made him hesitate?

That is what I am trying to figure out.   His touch of Rose came a split second before Joanna started to tap.   In fact I think Rose stopped because of his touch.

Or the Hamill win.

In spite of all that, he does come across as a solid dude on the whole, though.

Burying your face into the mat and trying to cover your head isn't intelligent defense.  Big John was signaling to Rose that he was stopping the fight then JJ tapped. So she really quit before the tap came and the ref could see that.

Cruz and Edgar injured, while Holm duck- I mean, won't agree on compensation to face Cyborg. McG with all the leverage in the world right now.

So  I'm not following this TUF at all, but if Roxy goes all the way and becomes the inaugural UFC women's flyweight champ, man...I can't even tell you how happy I'd be. She's one of the OGs of WMMA, and by all accounts, one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. I often bring up that one of my earlier WMMA memories was seeing her torquing the hell out of an omoplata against Jennifer Howe back in 2005.

It's actually been a really solid season fight wise, great head kick knock out in last nights episode. Most of the girls are pretty likable and come across well in the Tuff Talk post show, I'm impressed.

9/10 finishes in total so far.

Roxy obv has a great chance now that's she's in the semis, but I don't think has faced anyone yet like she will coming up.  Her first fight was a walkover and that little blond last night was just too inexperienced and gave up.

So the UFC has definitely created a monster in McGreggor. Jumping in the cage after this Bellator fight he needs to be fined or something. I mean can't let this be ok:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mma/conor-mcgregor-jumps-cage-at-bellator-187-confronts-referee-marc-goddard/ar-BBEP1mw?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp

ETA: funny cause I like and respect the guy, but he walks a fine line. Very, very easy to hate the guy from that video. Way to be in there with a fur coat and after pushing Goddard knee the dude who just got done fighting.

Man Eddie, how the hell did you let this guy beat you!!!!!!!

McGregor is one of the most hateable guys on the planet. I can't believe the fans he has. I can't believe he even has one fan.

This season is SO much better than the first women's TUF season.  It is like they chose the original women all based on how they wanted to be in a soap opera where this time they chose women who want to fight.

Of course it could be editing too, I guess you never know.  They seem to be giving only one girl a negative edit so far.

Aldo/Holloway II confirmed for UFC 218.

I didn't really NEED an immediate rematch, but it's sure to be fantastic and Aldo/Lamas did nothing for me, if we're being honest.

Not watching tonight’s card all the way ‘cause it’s scheduled to run til 4AM down here (#### daylight savings), but even coming back from a long layoff, Suarez smashing Pereira looked like one of the surest bets on the card. Suarez has looked impressive every time around, basically.

Full disclosure, I barely looked at tonight’s card beforehand, but Moraes/Dodson is a damn fine fight. They’re throwing Marlon to the damn LIONS, though. Assunção and Dodson, jeez.

Wow, 30-27 x2 with a 30-27 x1.  MM wasn't deducted a point in the 1st, but those fouls changed that round and maybe the fight.

MM speaks English bro!

yeah, i can't remember a fighter coming in and having to face such a murderer's row. I guess no interest in building him first. Funny how McGreggor got the treatment he did when he came in, and comparing it to Moraes
