UGH...TO concurs that Eagles would be undefeated (1 Viewer)

seems to me he kept Donovan's name out of his mouth, just as requested. The Eagles are every bit as much to blame for this whole mess as TO. Their stubborness is going to cost them the playoffs this year. The truth is, they don't want to pay people what they are really worth.

the eagles lack of a running game is the biggest issue right now.  because of that weakness (and reid's lack of commitment toward the running game in general) the defense spends way too much time on the field and it wears down eventually

of course it doesn't help that mcnabb rarely runs the ball any more and his accuracy is still questionable.  sure a healthy favre would help more than an injured mcnabb, but TO is just being TO...who cares?

just my 2 cents
 I wish TO would just retire or shut up. I'm sick of his mouth. No matter where he goes, it'll be the same thing.

Imagine if Philly traded him to Atlanta like he wanted. He would never get the ball.
A reporter asked him a question and he answered....whats so bad about that?Sometimes, I feel as if these athletes can't win. If they shut up and say nothing like Barry Bonds, then they are labeled as not fan-friendly and get critisized for that. But if they answer honestly, then we bash them anyway.
You don't critisize a teammate publicly.
 Ok, lets get the facts straight here....

A reporter asked him about BRETT FAVRE.

He replied by saying very nice things about BRETT FAVRE.

So...

1.He only answered the questions he was asked- he didn't go out of his way to bring anybody else into it.

2.He only had good things to say in his answer.
1. He agreed that the Eagles would be undefeated with Favre2. He stated that the Eagles would have a better record with a healthy McNabb

Their record would be better with a healthy McNabb, but not undefeated? What exactly is TO implying? That he thinks Favre is better than McNabb? That's pretty damn close to critisizing a teammate, if it isn't.
So if a reporter asks me who the best QB in the league is, and I don't say mine, I am criticizing him. BARF.

Who's signature is that on TO's contract?.... oh yeah, that's right, It's Owens' signature.

You're incredibly dense--or incredibly in love with TO--to not see past all this.
Thanks. For the record, I hate TO.

I just think he was set up here.
Set up insofar as . . . . what, he was asked to make a comment on another idiot's stupid comment and he not only agreed on camera but also expanded upon the original comment?

But that's not TO's fault...it's somehow the pen's fault...Any day now I expect TO to come out with "If it were a Sharpie...then the money in my contract would've been a lot better!"

Now...with that being said...IT IS MCNABB. And it IS AREID. Sure TO is imploding the team with his exploits and constantly airing their dirty laundry...but even though everyone wants to deny it or look elsewhere for the reasons for Philly's missteps every year...they can only come to the final conclusions that it's poor QB play (for whatever reason...who cares...it's all about wins and losses in NFL) and playcalling/time-field management.

That defense...and more specifically the defensive coach is what keeps that team looking good when the failures of McNabb and AReid rear their ugly heads...and is what makes them look so great when they don't find a way to screw it up.

I'm sorry to say it...but Rush was right...I argued it then and will continue to argue it today. McNabb is overrated...he's highly inaccurate and is just not that great of a field general.

If you want to argue it...just look how great they were using QB's like the Detmer's of the world when McNabb was out. Want to argue McNabb's accuracy? You can't...sure point to whatever numbers helps your case...but watch the game and you will always see McNabb throwing behind his receivers, over their heads or into the ground...and this was well before his "sports hernia"...this has been over his entire career. Want to argue his field generalship? You can't...I point to that 15 seconds remaining before the half debacle of a few weeks ago...even rookie Qb's would get taken to task for that nonsense.

If you ask me...McNabb should be glad he's got TO...because TO will cause so much hate towards himself that people will be slower to realize the problem with them losing falls mostly on McNabb's shoulders.

Lastly...it is my opinion...and I know it's not shared here since I've been railed upon over it every year for saying it...but...Philly...much like St. Louis...would be better off with a different head coach.
It's like I have a crystal ball or something...

There are quite a few of us who can play this game tdoss. :bag:

I am surprised that TO hasn't overdosed again. His fragile mental state has to have gone on some roller coaster rides lately.

He was on a super high when he heard that McNabb was lost for the season and that the scrub who replaced him helped the Eagles play better and win the NFC East. Then he sunk into a huge depression when he heard that that scrub QB was the one and only Jeff Garcia.
