Underrated rock songs from the 60s and 70s? (1 Viewer)

...and most any song by the Kinks except for Lola and You Really Got Me which got their due attention.  I just love their body of work.

I like the Kinks and Zombies choices. I'll stick punk genre. The Zeros out of San Diego were quite something.

The Zombies - Summertime

The Association - Everything That Touches You

Badfinger - Day After Day

ELO - Fire On High

mas que nada- Sergio Mendes & Brazil 66 (they set up a kind of residency at a spot in my hometown near SF before this "hit"... my parents got into them and had a bunch of records)

kick out the jams- MC5 (not exactly underrated, but maybe under appreciated or listened to by folk that aren't into the pre, during and post-punk scene)

monks chant- the monks @rockaction

ruckzuck- kraftwerk (long before they were doing and paving the way for the the techno thing as we all know it, they were doing this stuff c.1970... my favorite flute solo in a rock song)

Kinks have already been mentioned, I'll go with a couple others from bands that I think are underrated...

T. Rex - Cosmic Dancer (could go for just about anything off Electric Warrior -- "Bang a Gong (Get It On)" probably only one not underrated)

The Troggs - With a Girl Like You ("Wild Thing" only one they seem to get respect for)

Never Been Any Reason - Head East

Saw Kiss mentioned just before, but I wanted to mention another because the best song from their entire catalog is probably Black Diamond.

Spotify recomendations  found me these two songs, and they are awesome.

The best of my Spotify recomendation discoveries though is Cherry Baby by Stars.  It's from the 70s, but sounds like early 60s bubble gum pop, is catchy as hell, and according to Wikipedia, this band was an early influence on hair metal.  That sentence doesn't make sense when I write it out, but man I love this song.
