Unfounded RUMOR: TO Re-injures Hamstring (1 Viewer)

Here we go again...

T.O., TUNA WAR COMING?

A league source tells us that Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens is claiming that he has re-injured his hamstring, and he is blaming it on the fact that he was rushed back to practice before he was ready, and that he got too many reps during practice.

We're told that Owens is now taking the position that he won't be playing or practicing until he concludes that he is at 100 percent, and that he's privately saying that he might not be at 100 percent until the second week of the regular season.

The Cowboys are scheduled to have a one-hour walk through on Sunday morning in preparation for Monday night's game at the Saints. But since coach Bill Parcells has said that Owens won't play on Monday night due to the 14 practices that he missed due to the hamstring injury, it's unlikely that Owens will be expected to participate. The Cowboys are off on Tuesday, and resume practice on Wednesday.

Whether Owens is merely blowing smoke remains to be seen. But if he decides to take a pass on practice until he believes he's back to 100 percent, the stage will be set for all-out war between T.O. and the Tuna.

Is it really a terrible thing that the man wants to be 100%? He played when he wasnt 100% in that superbowl and where did that get him? Hes a hard worker, and im sure he wants to be on the field. But its his body. I dont blame him. Now owens might be handling the situation in the worng way, but i think if he thinks hes not ready that he shouldnt play.

However on the flip side, these guys are being paid rediculous amounts of money. SO maybe they should just suck it up.

I am a die-hard Cowboys fan, and I really am a good person...but I wish that something bad would happen to Owens. I don't want him in a wheelchair or anything...but it would make me happy to never see him on the field again. I puked when I heard that Dallas had traded for him, and I feel sick every time I see him in a Cowboys jersey. Jerry should have known better. They are getting exactly what they bargained for.

man I'm loving this already. Drafted TO at a discount yesterday and another owner ended up RB heavy and very WR light after the draft and sent me Ronnie Brown for TO.

This should be labeled as a rumor, no? Everything I've read and seen has Elderado run at full speed. Here's a note in today's paper about practice on Saturday.
T.O. watch: No Owens this week

By TODD ARCHER / The Dallas Morning News

Terrell Owens isn't expected to make his Cowboys debut until Saturday, but that hasn't stopped the receiver from getting in extra work with quarterback Drew Bledsoe as they try to speed up their learning curve together. Whenever the offense runs routes without a defense, Bledsoe will throw to Owens so they can get a feel for one another.

Bledsoe said work remains to be done, especially on the deep ball because Owens seems to have another gear.

P.S.I do want to add that there was a report of the hamstring was tightening up after Saturday's morning practice.

TO's got to realize this is his last NFL stop before joining Ricky Williams in Canada.

If he doesn't understand this, he's a more clueless knob that I originally imagined.

I may be in the minority here, but I kind of like TO, he play's with 110% everytime he see's the field, his work ethic it's off the charts, he plays hurt, he's got a big mouth, but Parcell's is a master psychologist and I dont think he'll have a problem controlling TO.

I think this is all a big plot by the Cowboys organization. Everyone is expecting a blow up, so they conspired to make it seem like the TO signing was a disaster already.

The other teams won't know what hit them.

Rule #1 from ESPN FF: Avoid picking TO :lmao:

i guess they didn't appreciate him sitting out their monday night game

Sorry, I know you are being serious, but this post made me laugh out loud.Where did you draft him??

TO has been nursing a sore hamstring every practice/preseason dating back to his San Francico days. He'll be practicing at full speed a couple weeks before the season starts.

Isn't right now a couple of weeks before the season starts?

I wont touch TO this year, I had him last year and his antics cost me a shot at a championship.

in other news, we've learned that Brett Favre has moved up his press conference for today and is going to reveal that he is, in fact, Elvis.

Well, his play helped lead me to a championship, so I can't complain.

 I didn't draft him in any of my 5 leagues this year. I traded him away on the one team I had him in a keeper.

As soon as TO out-muscles and punks Lito Sheppard for an 18 yard TD, this all will be forgotten. Sore hamstrings are a part of football. In the preseason they make headlines....during the season you never even hear about them.

Do you think the media might have a vested interest in promoting another TO/coach confrontation? I mean, the media went bonkers over the Philly situation...and there were probably 4 threads on TO running at any one time on the first page of the Shark Pool. The media love catastrophe and confrontation.

I'd take what they say with a grain of salt.

All this publicity must be doing wonders for his book sales. I'm not worried about what he'll do once he hits the field.

People like credible sources. A website full of rumors that are wrong half the time, isn't considered to be a credible source. That's why people don't like them. Are the rumors interesting? Sometimes. Sometimes they're even right. But it's not a credible source for facts on a consistent basis.

I have said it before, "As a 49er fan, it was so worth it to go through the 2-14 and 4-12 seasons to get rid of this cancer"

And to the Cowboys :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
