Many people are unaware that President Elect Joe Biden has a son who is an aspiring artist: Hunter Biden. I know there are a lot of very cultured FBGs here and I'm always interested to hear different opinions on art. As mentioned in the title, I'd like to discuss Hunter's art and keep his father's politics out of this conversation and in the PSF where it belongs. We've all proven in the Covid thread that this can easily be done. Let's make this thread a safe space for artists, collectors, and enthusiasts.
Hunter told The New York Times that painting “is literally keeping me sane,” he said, adding, “For years I wouldn’t call myself an artist. Now I feel comfortable saying it.” Painting “puts my energy toward something positive,” he continued, “It keeps me away from people and places where I shouldn’t be.” Working from a studio in a house in Hollywood Hills, he uses a metal straw to blow alcohol ink onto Japanese Yupo paper. “The one thing I have left is my art. It’s the one thing they can’t take away from me.”
Hunter is currently signing a deal to be represented by Georges Bergès Gallery in SoHo, with a solo exhibition planned for next year.
