Nothing from the OP since Friday.  Obviously whatever it was, well, we've lost Buzzbait. 

On the bright side, the FFA has another place we can rent out for parties or bar mitzvahs.  So it's not a complete loss.

Update: I still had not been able to get to the source of the high pitch noise but last night I went to the basement and... blissful silence. 

I'm convinced it was in the water pipes but no real proof other than process of elimination. It's either that or @Nathan R. Jessep's orgy mice moved out.
