Updated cheatsheets: Gostkowski in the NE blizzard (1 Viewer)

This isn't actually meant to be a shot at FBGs -- I put a lot of trust in this site for weekly rankings and cheatsheets. But I'm pretty shocked at Gostkowski's current ranking in the Sunday morning cheatsheets given what we know about the weather.

So at the risk of sounding WDIS-ish... has the weather been factored into his rating at all? Was this an oversight, or does FBG still feel that he's ranking in the right spot?

There was another thread about this (if FBG factors in weather). The answer is yes in the final rankings. I agree that kickers seem most vulnerable, so it's weird to me that Brady's ranking changed, but Gostkowski's didn't.

I agree with smc . . . I just dropped Gostkowski. No way can one justify ranking Gostkowski's no. 1 in this weather.

Not so fast, grasshopper . . .Gostkowski's range

The rainy, windy conditions should have a significant impact on the kicking game.

Watching warmups, kicker Stephen Gostkowski was barely clearing the crossbar on 40-yard attempts while kicking to the open end of the stadium. He had a little more distance while kicking to the closed end of the stadium, but with field position figuring to be key today, it would be surprising to see field-goal attempts longer than 40 yards today.

I'm more concerned about the gusting winds of 30 mph than that of snow/rain! Sitting Gost for Folk myself....

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I guess I was hoping a FBG rep would drop by and say "yes, we factored weather into the ranking" or not, but this discussion was still helpful.

I'm sticking with him. God help me.

With all that wind, gusts upto 40mph, and BB's reluctance to attempt FGs on fourth down, I'm going to play it safe and pick up Keading

Both Joe B and Bloom said that they did in one of the earliest of the 76 threads about the weather today. How do you guys expect them to be able to keep up with and post in every thread about a topic when you start the same ones over and over and over again?

Well, in one league it was either Gostkowski or Wilkins... That Gostkowski start is looking good now... three points might decide the game for me this week too.

This was my 1st season using FBG and too be honest I am not impressed with their weekly projections. They never take into account opposing team injuries or the weather. It seems as though every week its the same projections...just tweaked a little bit. They had Brady ranked #1 this week, until today, when they decided last minute to drop him a couple of places. Not to mention they have Gostkowski ranked #1. Its called a NORTHEASTER! Dont even let me get started on their IDP projections.

So, you've been using FBG all season but you just signed up 2 days ago?
