Upside for 2008 and 2009 (1 Viewer)

In thinking about longer term and situations - who has better upside for the balance of 2008 and 2009 seasons?

Ryan Torrain

Obviously in Denver, everyone wants the Denver RB lottery - but from the stats and recaps - doesn't look like the Denver Running Game was very effective week 1- trend for Denver to lean on Cutler to pass or opportunity for Torrain to come in after his injury and make an impact.

Pierre Thomas

Could be heir apparent to Deuce - many seem to speculate that Deuce is just about done....Potent offense and good compliment to Reggie Bush along with goal-line carries. Also, speculated that NO hasn't been featuring him to keep his value low to sign him to a longer term deal as part of the heir apparent to Deuce.

My thoughts:

2008: we see Thomas shifting into a very servicable role for fantasy players and decent 20-30 RB and Torrain as a wildcard for Denver. Low risk pick - Thomas High risk High reward: Torrain

2009: potentially Torrain enters as a RB of the future for Denver...Thomas the true compliment to Reggie Bush

Second post I have seen that said this. Is 142 yards and 4.2 yds per carry not effective? I think people are letting the fantasy judgment of the Denver RB situation cloud the real NFL judgment.
