US Postal Service falsifying deliveries (1 Viewer)

This is pretty bad in Utah right now, though it has been going on since the USPS got part of the Amazon contract.  You get drivers scanning packages as delivered in order to meet their quotas and deadlines, but then the packages eventually show up anywhere from 2-7 days later.  We have noticed it and it frustrates me when you think your stuff has been stolen.  You contact the online company, they reship, then the original package shows up a week later when it says delivered.  It has happened to us 4 times now over the last 6 months.  They actually had a news feature on it yesterday here.

Anyone else noticing this?  How is it a federal entity can get away with this crap?  Or is this just the new normal?

I'm honestly surprised that the USPS is still a thing, because all I get through it are bills, jury duty on occasion, junk mail, and only a few packages.

Most of our Amazon crap gets delivered by their inhouse carrier, Amazon Logistics. They suck too. That 2-day guarantee for Prime is complete BS.

Pretty sure every item I've purchased on Amazon Prime has been delivered on time. Looks like we've ordered 33 things over the last 6 months. I've probably had Prime for 2+ years. I'm sure there are much heavier users, but it's not like we rarely ever have deliveries so seems like enough orders for me to say they do well delivering on time. Weird that others have such different experiences.

Had a similar thing happen to me.  Ordered a paper shredder, got the delivered at door or whatever, nothing there.

Sometimes I get the notice its been delivered but it shows up like 30 minutes later.  That didnt happen this time.

I ended up waiting a few days before contacting Amazon.  They did a reship but I never received the original order.
