Using Dallas Clark as WR3 (1 Viewer)

In leagues where you can play tight ends as wide receivers Dallas Clark is a strong wr3 option if you have a high risk high reward second tight end on your team (e.g. Marcedes Lewis td's). Clark is clearly the 1 or 2 option on the colts flip flopping with Wayne week to week. With the number of targets tight ends get in the redzone and the inconsistency of so many wr3s I think it makes sense to gamble on a TE scoring over getting a handful of yards and a couple of catches with the likes of Mohamed Massaquoi.

That's great insight and all... but you're wrong.

If you're in a league so deep that you're picking between scraps like Massaquoi for your WR3, he's ACTUALLY a WR2 in TE's clothing. NOT a WR3.

my main league TEs are the same position as WRs, we starts 3 WR/TEs. Clark and Gates are good starts.

I am in a league where we have to start 11 on offense including the K and 11 on defense. I am lucky enough to have Clark, Finley and Gresham, and I have been starting every one of them so far and plan to do so unless one of them gets hurt.

Gresham belongs on the bench. I'm quite sure you can do better.

You analysis shouldn't be on Clark, but on Mercedes Lewis. He is the additional starter you are bringing in, not Clark. Clark is already starting. You need to analyze Lewis vs. an available WR....not Clark.

that is the point of the back end of the post. my point is that a guy like lewis is a better gamble at the bottom of your starting lineup than momass.
