Using scissors to open a potato chip bag (1 Viewer)

The allure of the "new topic" button is simply too great for you, isn't it.I think they offer self-help groups for a problem such as this.
I thought we had a thread specifically for stuff like this. :moneybag:

Otis can let the fiance take care of things like this. Wimens are great with handling packages.

Is it gay that for certain premium brand chips, like these, I have to use scissors to open them because I apparently am not strong enough to open them with my bare hands?

:rainbowbag:
No.If one could put together a video compilation of my misadventures with chip bags, I'd be an internet celebrity.

As soon as I read the thread title I knew *exactly* what brand of chips Otis was talking about. Women open up faster for Woz.

Pringles cans open easiest with a Sawzall, btw.

I just bought a bag of these(yesterday) and they had a small slit near the middle crease of the bag so it will tear easily and correctly. Just FYI.Either way, not gay.

Totally gay if its any normal brand like Pringles. But NOT gay since its a premium brand.
Watching someone cut open a Pringles can with a pair of scissors would be interesting.
:lmao: Are me and shuke the only two people here who do this?
Do what now?
DON'T IGNORE YOUR PAST SHUKE.
I seriously don't remember every discussing on here how I open a pringles can.

I've got a sawzall handy--but for Pringles??!!! :banned:

Thanks, and yup, discovered this earlier in the thread. Game-changer.

Your hands to big to do simple tasks? Sorta like Shaq not being able to shoot a free though even though his height gives him a major advantage?

Related: I recently learned how to open those little single serving Tylenol/asprin packages. I used to really struggle with those. It's pretty brilliant once you figure it out.

Those Kettle Chips have a fairly complicated "tear here" perforation located on the northeast corner of the bag.
I call BS. There is no way a plastic potato chip bag can sense its orientation to north and move a perforation to keep it on the northeast side.

Maybe if it was a bag of Gardetto's...

two tips for you guys.

open the bag from the bottom so all the spices fall back over the chips again.

if you are going to eat the whole bag, open it up all the way and use the flat foil as a plate.

I've recently had to open the large David sunflower seed bag with scissors or a knife.

I fear for my manhood.

The northeast slit really isn't that helpful. I don't have very big hands, but using the slit still doesn't leave enough room to comfortably reach into the bag. When I do use the northeast slit, I still tear back the top (in the West direction) to give myself a little more clearance.

Mostly though, I just use scissors. Or my handy butterfly knife if I'm not feeling masculine enough to deal with the shame of scissors in that moment.

Open bag with hands.

when bag is < half full scissors are used to trim the bag down so you don't have to reach so far.

/that's it

Do you eat 20lb bags of chips? I've never trimmed a bag of chips down after it was half eaten.  That's weird

Those bags are impossible to open by hand.  They either explode, or they start to open and suddenly tear all the way down the side.  Then every time you go for a chip the tear grows.
