Va. Tech Freshman Killers (aka animals) (1 Viewer)

I haven't been this disgusted about a murder case in quite a while. I'm not sure why, perhaps because what the victim went thru to even survive until age 13. I hope Eisenhauer & Keepers get the death penalty.

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. — A Virginia Tech freshman helped plot the killing of a 13-year-old Blacksburg, Va., girl because she was “excited to be part of something secretive,” helping a classmate pick a spot for the slaying, buying a shovel and ultimately disposing of Nicole Lovell’s body, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Montgomery County, Va., Commonwealth’s Attorney Mary Pettitt said that Natalie Keepers, 19, was intimately involved in the plot, laying out the allegations during a hearing at which a judge denied Keepers’s bond request.

“To be involved in the homicide of someone she didn’t know at all is just astonishing,” Pettitt said.

Keepers is accused of helping David Eisenhauer, 18, abduct and kill Nicole, a girl who had been bullied in middle school and had survived cancer and a liver transplant. The girl disappeared on Jan. 27, sparking a major search before her body was found over the weekend in North Carolina. Eisenhauer has been charged with abduction and first-degree murder in Nicole’s death.

Virginia Tech has certainly had more than its share of tragedies.

Read about this a few days ago and I was surprised it hadn't made its way to FBGs yet. I really don't understand this type of behavior.

I nearly posted a few times, only to check myself so I didn't come off as psycho.

Let's just say that were one of my kids the victim, these guys should consider themselves lucky they were denied bail.

So you'd kill them leaving your other kids high and dry while you rotted in jail?

So I the guy had a sexual relationship with the 13 year-old, then killed her so she wouldn't tell anyone? I'm guessing the girl had a crush on him or something.

The inconsequential minutiae that can lead some to take another human life is beyond my comprehension.
I was wondering what the motive would be....did you read that somewhere?

What in the world was going on in their heads? It's a question we will never know. I wondered why she left the house. She had a crush on him and then he decided to take advantage and then kill to cover it up. That always goes well. They both will get whatever the max is I would imagine. Do they have the death sentence in Virginia?

Internet and social networking, cannot instill the dangers of all of it enough to our younger folks.

Yeah gotta scroll down a little to read full article in the OP.

Hell yeah we do.

My son applied to VaTech. Would anyone have any concerns about him going there after all the crap that's happened there?

The article says there is no motive yet.

Yeah true enough it just referenced an inappropriate relationship between the guy and the victim.

I wish there could be mandatory & accurate screening for psychopathy. Sounds nuts, but next step would be extermination or quarantine on an island somewhere. They are a disease with no known cure and the worst monsters in all of humanity.

I dont think psychopathy is even an official diagnosis yet.

There is a spectrum of psychpathy.

I just can't comprehend this - there's a special place in hell for those two.
I know it's not what you meant, but it's #### like this that convinces me there is no hell. In order for there to be a hell, there has to be a God and anyone who wants to explain to me how this was "God's plan" for this kid is going to have an uphill climb getting me to buy in.

P.S. I just realized that this could be a jumping off point for a religious debate. Please don't. Your views are yours and mine are mine. This just enraged me so much that I blurted out the first thing that crossed my mind.

The dead young girl suffered through illness and was savagely murdered as a test of her faith in accordance with the lords plan.

Thought that was obvious

I'm from VA and was familiar with the story in general. I didn't know, though, that she had survived cancer and a liver transplant. Holy hell. The emotional roller coaster her parents have been on.....only for this to be the outcome. If there is a God, bless her parents.

No. There are predators and disturbed individuals everywhere.
Would it change your opinion to know that he's already been accepted to State?

Reason for my initial question is that I was wondering if a negative stigma or public perception is going to be attached to that school? When people first hear Va Tech are they going to think great school or are they going to think about all the bad stories that have come out of Blacksburg?

"Eye for eye" should be allowed in extreme cases like this. Absolutely disgusting
So introduce cancer, put them through chemo, remove their livers, replace them with Cirrhosis livers, and then after their bodies are so riddled with disease leave them in a blank cell to starve to death? Maybe all three together and see who eats who first?

Anyone who believes in God and believes it acts upon this world and somehow believes it is benevolent is totally screwed in the head.

Maybe, but it would be subliminal for anyone with a little bit of sense. I doubt any thinking person would say "nope, VPI is full of murderers".

Not sure we can pin the cancer on these two unless they move the venue to manitowoc

No school is squeaky clean. I'm not saying this (or the other VA Tech tragedy) will be forgotten, but it won't be what the school is known for.

I would think great school. UVA has also had some bad stories surrounding it, but it is still a great school.

I would think they would think of both, and the latter will fade with time. Regardless, if that person lets it affect their opinion of your son, he or she is an idiot.

Right, that's why I say I wish there could be something accurate to root these people out. Not practical obviously, but it's pretty unsettling to know there are people out there who on a whim might plan to lure someone to slit their throat in the same way normal people would plan a weekend getaway.

sounds like a daunting task.

It's all good - I was just venting, wasn't meant to be religious.

I, for one, appreciate the copy/paste of the word cirrhosis to ensure you spelled it correctly. That's message board dedication.

I got that... I was using the royal "your", wasn't directed at you individually. I also don't care if people are religious - my whole family believes in God except for my youngest brother - my parents both do (or did), my other brother does, my wife, my nieces, etc. I'm atheist but not militant about it - everyone has the right to believe whatever makes him/her happy.
