Value Of Randy Moss PPR (1 Viewer)

Where would you rank Randy Moss moving forward?

I rank him WR14 moving forward

Can get you 0 point one week, or 40 the next

In PPR he's scoring somewhere between Knox and Manningham.

So if you had NO decent WR2 or WR3 would you take Knox and Manningham for RMoss?

What if you're 1-3/0-4? Another week, this week, a bye for Moss, is another ZERO. One more week and such an owner is completely out of the playoffs. Really, why hold; it's you win now or your done.

I think he's worth more (I'm sure most do), but *when???

kinda read my mind with this thread. i was offered miles austin and and portis for MY moss and witten. ( i have gates). im really tempted to do it.

i know you dont care about my league, but maybe this help gauge his value a bit in PPR leagues.

I'd say if you have a team full of consistent perfermores, then Moss is a good fit for you. But he is so hit or miss, that you can't bank on 15 points each week. I'd put him just about WR10 based on the inconsistency.

Through 4 games this year, Moss has scored 40.9 fantasy points in PPR leagues (10.2 per game).

Through 5 games last year, Moss had 72.7 fantasy points in PPR leagues (14.5 per game). He ended up averaging 19.5 ppg the rest of the way.

Through 5 games in 2008, he scored 62.2 fantasy points in PPR leagues (12.4 per game). He ended up averaging 15.8 ppg the rest of the way.

He has the ability to put up huge points each week and should play a bigger role in the offense as the year goes on. IMO, unless he's hurt (it doesn't seem like it), he should still get his and should end up with totals in a similar range to the past 2 years (so ignore 2007).

Last night was disturbing. It looked like he knew they weren't going to throw him the ball and I just don't understand.
He was Brady's choice for the "fake spike" TD attempt. The ball was border-line catchable, the kind Moss can usually make a play on. But otherwise, last night he was just a distraction for the defense. It used to be just Welker taking away catches but now it is Welker AND Hernandez.

Probably because Welker, Tate and Hernandez weren't being covered by the only legit cover guy in Miami? I mean, we spent all of last Sunday night's game with Collinsworth talking about how the Miami secondary couldn't be worse than last year and then they showed a little snippet of Moss vs. Davis from last year and how he is the only player to ever intercept Brady twice in 2 games in one year... Even at that, they had a play designed for a TD that was thrown in a hurry that didn't pay out. I think it is high time to buy low...
