As a Vandy owner, I was concerned with Parcells decisions on when to use (or not use) Vandy last week. Twice the Cowboys had 4th down at the Houston 32 yard line, and twice they went for it. Those would be 49 or 50 yard FG attempts and nice points in a HP scoring league. I don't know if injury is still lingering or what, but those opportunities are what we expect from a high profile kicker at home on a turf surface.

Wasn't it raining during parts of the game. The slick field might have gone into those decions along with the Houston D is pathetic and Tuna would rather have TD's than FG's. I think the fact that they waived Shaun Suisham is telling in that Vandy is their guy for the rest of the season.
Fantaswise, I picked him up off the WW after an owner was fed up with him not playing. I grabbed him after he came off bye and heard about it from the other sharks in my league that were eyeing him too. So when the other sharks in your money league lament the fact that you nabbed someone they wanted, gives reassurance you did the right thing.

Bumping another week...
The trend continued last night as Parcells elected to go for it on 4th down at the 32 (again!
). You'll recall that's the ball TO dropped. This was before the game was a blowout, so a FG was still in play at that time of the game. It's frustrating to see Vandejagt not used when he can help the team.
IF a QB change takes place, does anyone think that leads to more FG opportunities? I know he missed a few games early on, but only 7 attempts on the year is pathetic.

I think Vandy at this point is a marginal starting K for fantasy football this season. I am currently carrying Graham and Vandy but with the byes over will probably be cutting Vandy for a position player. I don't think Vandy is terrible but I see him ranking 7-15 range for fantasy football kickers the rest of the way. Those are my feelings.
