Just heard about that on the audible that theres suspecion around the scouting department that Gholston is on roids and I was wondering if they had any evidence for that?

Why suspicion? Cause the man was a beast at the combine? The dude's simply a STUD!

Typical pre-draft rumors. Someone is trying to get him to slip.

The guy looked like that before he got to OSU, I highly doubt he would get through 4 seasons without it showing up.

And how many College athletes have been busted for Steroids over the past 4 seasons?

Personally, I'd like to see this thread deleted. There's NO basis for this rumor (no substantiation) so why tolerate it?

Pick a name out of a hat, the prospect is probably on roids, yes, even the punters....I don't think the GM's give a damn...

He is huge and ripped, first thing I thought when I saw him was this dude is on the juice....scary big and vascular.

Gholston has been a work out monster long before he ever started playing football in High School. The dude is an animal and will bring a solid OLB pass rusher to any team he goes to. Hopefully the JETS from my point of view. Enough with the 'roids accusations. If this goes on I say close this thread before it gets worse.

What a sad state of affairs the world of professional sports is in for every good who's jacked to get accused of juicing. Let's not forget, these guys are genetic freaks - adding the element of great strength and conditioning programs is going to make a lot of the ones that are very serious about it into monsters.

being a Michigan fan i've watched the Buckeye's and Gholston stomp us for years. i've watched the DL/LB portion of the combine atleast 3x's over by now. now while Gholston is certainly ripped, he does NOT however look like that picture. That picture may be as real as the fake merriman picture that everyone was going nutz on(the pic merriman's where merriman's head was pasted on the OL or DL). i can't prove it but the picture IS fake. watch the damn combine or any of his games and compare it to that picture.

Wake up guys..

A lot of players in the NFL are on juice and Gholston is one of them. Sad but true

You know, when you knowingly speak about a players habits, without having any personal knowledge, you kinda just sound like a fool.

A lot of players are on steroids, no doubt. But when speaking about a specific player, and you condescendingly proclaim that so and so is obviously on the bean, you don't sound smart. You sound the opposite of smart.

I agree completely. It's time to accept the fact that our favorite players are using PEDs. Who wants to watch small, slow players, like the 50's?

Let's be serious. The easiest test any Division I football player will ever take is the NCAA test for steroids.

If Cecil or Bloom care to add to this thread / comment on this, I'll re-open this to add their comments.Otherwise, this thread is now about piling on an alleged rumor and shouldn't continue.

Please can anyone provide a link where people that matter have this view??VG is one bad man and would look great in Black and Orange.
I believe it was Josh Buchanan who said it on the FPG audible.
Thoughts:I don't want this place to become a place where people throw anything to the wall that has a shred of credibility and hope things stick.I don't want this place to become a place where the only stories that are allowed to be talked about are the ones that ESPN broke 2 hours ago. There is a balance there. As a general rule, the more explosive a story is, the better you need to have your source nailed down. For instance, do not start something like a player is going to be suspended for steriods when you "believe" you heard a radio host talking about it. Don't post it here without the source nailed down.If it's your brother's girlfriend's sister in law as the source, say that. And people can weigh it out. If it's your brother that's the source, say that too. And people can weigh that out. When it's a RUMOR, say it clearly that it's a rumor. And keep the notebook out. Meaning a guy that comes in here with a new rumor every week that never winds up panning out won't be posting long on the board. On the flip side, one of the huge strengths of this board is the large number of people that post here and the large number of connections they have. I want to leverage that for the good of the board. Not squelch it. But it takes balance.J
