Which "you" are you talking about? Of my three dynasty leagues, I'd bet 30 of the other 35 owners are on FBG. Are you talking to me or one of them?Complete waste of a roster spot at this point. If he ever comes back and you still want him, he's sure to be available
Vick will never play a down in the NFL again.
Logic tells me that since Atlanta isn't dropping him immediately then they must know something the public doesn't. I'm holding him since he is my backup to Brees in one league and I have T. Jackson as my #3 in one dynasty. Hopefully Jackson will last at least until after week 4 when Brees has a bye (the Holcombe signing make me wonder). I guess I'm in the minority that thinks Vick will never play again. The league hasn't suspended him for good yet, and Atlanta hasn't cut him. I don't think you can say he'll never play again. I'm waiting a year. After the sentencing we'll really know the deal. He still holds too much value to just drop him now under the circumstances.cobalt_27 said:Vick will never play a down in the NFL again. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
Owner Blank said they won't cut Vick right away because of salary cap issues, not because they ever plan to bring him back. I won't dig up the link for you, but it's out there if you want to look.Logic tells me that since Atlanta isn't dropping him immediately then they must know something the public doesn't. i got him in 5 and im HOLDIN,
i recently traded a 4th rounder for him to sit behind Brees and Schaub.
I just drafted him in my other dynasty too high to cut him.
Kinda like having Barry Sanders long time ago. People held him on there roster 3 years after he quit hoping he would come back and be elite again. Same approach im doing with Vick, yeah i know his value is SHOT, but its also in the beholder. No way would i cut him ONLY to have someone with a rebuilding team or roster spae to pick him up and IR him. This guy was a top 6 qb in my dynasty year in and out.
Will he come back, i REALLY do believe so...WHEN? is anyones guess.
I traded a 4th and M.Hicks (a cut guy to make room for Vick) for Vick and seeing where i had extra picks in the top 3 rounds why not?
this one of the teams with him on it.
Brees, Drew NOS QB
Schaub, Matt HOU QB

He's worth it to me as a QB3 bench dead roster guy. I only wish others would drop him in my leagues. I would be all over him for some scrub.
what could i pick up??? Trent Edwards? A Feeley? L.Moore, K.mccardell. Dillon, ABryany RICKY WILLIAMS (ump, he was held even during his suspension)
OK I can understand the HATE for the guy...there's a cost for everything you do in life and people have to understand that. My father is in a fed prison for making a mistake after not being in trouble his whole life. He always try and appologize to me like he failed me. I told him life isnt easy, some like to think that, but we all make mistakes, and i told him im not mad at him, just do better and try live life right. Same thing goes with Vick IMO. He f'd up, he has to pay the consequence. Which he will, and IMO he will be given a 2nd chance. This isnt David Carr we talking about here, this IMO one of the top 2 talented players in the whole NFL.
But hey, people HAVE THE RIGHT TO THERE OWN OPNIONS. Some thinks he is TRASH and want nothing to do with him....well cut him. Thats fine by all means.....Others see past this. Kerry Collins, Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis and numerous other have made mistakes....NONE OF THEM are the talents of Vick...maybe Ray but even he got back in the league.
I guess, but keep in mind teams would have had to carry him for 2-3 years.Whole lot of crow to be eaten in here.![]()
Very true - was just curious what the pre-jail term Vick threads had looked like in comparison to everything currently after his great season.I guess, but keep in mind teams would have had to carry him for 2-3 years.Whole lot of crow to be eaten in here.![]()
Check the start date for this thread...There wasn't a specific enough option for me to reply. I think he has several good years left, ones that will be highly advantageous for whoever owns him. However, his skills and body will decline rapidly after 3 years (just an opinion) as does everyone who starts to age. What's the mantra about RB's and age 30? I think being a QB who doesn't take as many hits will bye him some time, but just like every other runner, the physical skill set declines. Pocket QB's can last longer just because of their ability to read defenses and stay somewhat immobile. I would use him for another year, which I suspect will be rather good, but look for a replacement and start to gather offers for his trade value.
