You buy the subscription card thing, take the code from the back of it and enter that into the redeem code section in the marketplace blade of the main X button menu. OR, go to the my xbox section of the live interface, scroll once to the right and click on your gamer tag, scroll once to the right and click on account management, and click redeem code and enter what is on the back of the card you bought.Explain to me how to do this like I'm an idiot...You can still buy it and it will just add on to the tail end of your current subscription.Leeroy Jenkins said:I see an Xbox Live Gold on there for $39 too. Just like madshot said. You can stack up to 3 years of XBox Live at once. Don't go over that, though. It'll just be wasted. So if you get more cards than that, just hold onto them.I have found myself looking for land mines on the road when driving (in the real world) thanks to BFBC2.We finally broke down and got a PS3. The reason for the delay was a simple one: We already have everything else in the PS family - PS, PS2, PSP, and we have a Wii system, too. Couldn't find a reason to upgrade for a long time, until my buddy started talking Netflix and file storage, etc.
And through the years, I've never really enjoyed any video games aside from Tiger Woods.
I'm here to announce the following: Hey, everyone. I'm SimonMoon, and I'm and addict.
("Hi, SimonMoon!")
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is going to possibly cost me my marriage. Just got it for Christmas (okay, my son did), and I've found myself strategizing in my head at all hours, to the point of distraction, and I can't wait for everyone to go to bed so I can play until my eyes burn and my fingers cramp. I know Black Ops is all the rage, but I'm perfectly happy with this one for now.

This is definitely a good play. My wife's birthday is February 22, which just happens to be the same day that Killzone 3 comes out. I think I know what she'll be getting for her birthday now . . .Probably good advice...But I'm just now developing the ability to move smoothly through the COD universe, and to know whether I should lay low and snipe or sprint across and just start knifing the bad guys. Or dogs, as the case may be...Now, at least, I understand what the fuss has been about for the past few years. No denying the artistry of the franchise. It may even be good for me, in that my heart rate stays elevated for a while.Turn back now. Seriously.
I have it. It's a blast. I don't know if I like it more than regular Championship Edition, but it's a fun way to waste some time.Anyone download the Pac-Man Championship Edition DX for the 360? Supposed to be a lot of fun.
MW2 is a great game and you'll surely get tons of fun out of it. I played it almost every night for a year. It's the reason I got a PS3 There are plenty of things that I like better about Black Ops, but I think MW2 is better when it comes to the action-packed excitement of running around killing people. If getting blasted by a grenade launcher or getting stabbed alot don't bother you (it didn't bother me), then I'd guess you'd be hard-pressed to find shooter that's more fun and exciting than MW2.SimonMoon said:Probably good advice...But I'm just now developing the ability to move smoothly through the COD universe, and to know whether I should lay low and snipe or sprint across and just start knifing the bad guys. Do you think it's a good idea to buy Gold years in advance? Any chance Gold goes free with PS3 and Wii services being free now for competitive reasons? So I on ME2 add on last night . . . is that pack finished now or are there other missions that will pop up??Just like madshot said. Nice price, Newegg had the card the other day for $158.99 so $120 is a good buy.Newegg has XFX Radeon HD 5850 1GB DDR5 Video Card + bonus $15 Newegg Promo Card for $209.99 - 10% off code HARDOCP15B - $30 Rebate = $158.99.I am building a new PC when my tax refund comes in this year so am look for some deals. I want to run a ATI Crossfire system or a Nvidia SLI system, but have not decided one way or the other yet.I am gonna throw this bad boy up on eBay if none of my BF brothers want it. They sell for $140-150 on eBay for a used model. If a FBG wants it, I will sell it to them shipped for $120. Let me know within a couple of hours and I can get it out today.![]()
I threw it up on eBay, but could always take it down if need be.As far as SLI or Crossfire go, I am becoming more of a fan of just a great single-card solution. I have run into too many glitches/bugs that pop up with SLI a few years ago and now Crossfire, so I dropped the 2 X 5850's and went with a 6950 that I flashed to a 6970. I don't have any years banked, but I doubt Gold will ever go free. I think you'll see PS3 online play move to a pay service first. They are already flirting with the idea with the premium service. I hope I'm wrong. I'd love for XBox Live Gold to move to free. I just don't see it happening. Maybe if people refused to pay for it in the beginning like they did with Games for Windows Live (which was a paid service for the first year but is now free). But too many are willing to pay for it on consoles.Do you think it's a good idea to buy Gold years in advance? I renewed this year, but if by next year I have a web-TV or something capable of streaming netflix without the xbox I probably wont renew gold. Just pissed I missed out on two separate deals on Xbox in the same week!!SlaX said:I don't have any years banked, but I doubt Gold will ever go free. No chance at all. In fact it's far more likely you'll see Sony start charging a fee for their service. It's not just fanboi talk when you hear that the Sony online service is not as good as the Xbox online service. There really is a major quality difference. Well worth the money. No need to fully stock 3 years on Xbox service. Just make sure that you never run out, which would force you to accept a full price renewal or near full.Leeroy Jenkins said:Do you think it's a good idea to buy Gold years in advance? I know it's too late for others, but if you never buy XBox Live via credit card, they cannot charge your card for renewal when Live runs out. I've always bought via time cards and when my time runs out, it just reverts back to Silver (well, it's now called just Free, not Silver). Tip for those who haven't jumped in yet.No chance at all. They are holding co-op off until Torchlight 2. I'm not sure that Torchlight will do as well on XBLA as it did on PC without the co-op. But it's a great game.Just saw that Torchlight will be coming to the 360 in the spring. Very very fun PC Diablo-esque game. If it has co-op, :(

Random, but that's what my dad did IRL. He was a twin-.50cal gunner on a PBR on the Mekong in Vietnam.I've been playing the hell out of Black Ops. But when I've not been playing that, I've been on that BFBC2: Vietnam.
Vietnam is probably the best DLC I've ever played. The maps really lend themselves to guerilla type warfare. Between the music, new look of the playable characters in each class, and general darkness and disturbing feel to the maps, it really is like a whole new game. Nothing better than chunking people with the PBR (it's a boat).
Torchlight is an excellent filler until Diablo 3 hits.As you guys previously mentioned, Torchlight is coming to the XBLA in Spring(Feb/March). But I just read that Beyond Good & Evill HD is also being released. Beyond Good & Evill is right up there with Xenogears and Psychonauts for the best underrated games of the last 15 years.![]()

Nearly every 360 game comes with a free 2-day gold pass too usually (rarely you can get like a 1 month pass too.) The last time mine ran out I just used one or two of those while I waited for the cheap 12 year one I bought off the internet to be shipped to me.I know it's too late for others, but if you never buy XBox Live via credit card, they cannot charge your card for renewal when Live runs out.
