When someone is shooting before they round the corner in front of you - that is bad.

I own a 360, PS3, and Wii.

Has anyone played both Move and Kinnect and can compare it to a Wii? Are either of these worth getting considering I already have a Wii?

 haha! I found this newish game that is more expensive than buying a car! pretty cool though, I'm sure it will show up on an episode of cribs or something.

The Vision Racer, I know you guys don't seem especially into race car driving games but its definately worth a look.

what do you think about this one? Waste of money? :sadbanana:
Is this guy spamming the video game thread a la :ptts: ?

So ya, would anyone be interested in a The Great Video Game Draft? I have created a nice list of categories and would be looking for 14-19 other drafters and then people to rank each category for points at the end. I have never done one of the huge drafts, but I believe drafters don't do the rankings due to being biased, correct me if I'm wrong. Although I believe I could create a fairly unbiased rankings for some of the categories that I have the most knowledge about. Thoughts?

Link, I searched but couldn't find anything. I want to see if the categories are similar or not.

Both are better than the Wii and the Kinnect is better than the Move but alas games are sadly lacking for both.

In if we have another. I missed the last one.

I'll toss it up to see if we get enough interest. The draft set I have made goes much more in depth on the categories, has a different dynamic that counts for about 35% of it that isn't in the first, and hopefully we will get rankings and figure out a winner.

On the PS3 I'm finally getting around to Final Fantasy XIII after taking forever to finish off GOW3. Been kind of busy. So far I'm only about 6 hours in, very linear thusfar like a lot of people have said. Killer graphics, enjoyable combat system, not too much overkill on the cut scenes. Solid game that will hopefully improve towards the end when you get more freedom.

Title I've been playing with the kids is Donkey Kong Country for Wii. Very fun 2D sidescroller. Kind of similar to New Super Mario in format. Never really got into the 3D Marios and Galaxy 2 is on the shelf virtually unplayed. This is a welcome addition to the lineup.

Been playing a little Kinect Sports and Dance Central :bag: on the Kinect with the wife as well. Definitely having some fun with these as well. Better than watching some crappy TV show she would want to watch.

Mass Effect 2 is coming out for PS3 next week. I really want to play it, but I'll wait for a price drop.

New Skyrim details:

The latest issue of Game Informer contains fresh gameplay details on Bethesda's next massive title, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, set for release this November.

Skyrm's story is set 200 years after the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and the world of Tamriel is in shambles. The empire has fallen to the elves, the Blades are gone, the Nords hate each other, and a civil war is about the break out. Oh, and that big dragon the Elder Scrolls prophesied about? Yeah, he's arrived, too. Players will take control of the last remaining Dragonborn, a dragon hunter anointed by the gods to help fend off the threat.

Bethesda's newest title features a brand-spanking new engine where every object in the game now casts a shadow as well as improved draw-distances. Textures are sharper and more detailed and the environments are livelier. There's also the addition of a HUD-less first-person view and "improved" third-person camera option.

There will be five massive cities that span Skyrim's environment, which ranges from frozen tundra to rocky mountain tops. There is also new wildlife, such as Sabre-toothed Cats and Wooly Mammoths.

The combat is getting a bit of an overhaul, too. Players will be able to equip any weapon or spell to either hand at any time and even duel wield two of the same weapon. A new customizable menu is being added to help swap load-outs easily in battle.

Bethesda has also done away with the character class system and reworked the game's leveling mechanic. Players' skills will level up the more they are used, contributing to your overall level growth. "Raising one skill from 34 to 35 is going to level you faster than raising one from 11 to 12," Bethesda designer Todd Howard told the magazine. Players can also level pass 50, but it becomes much slower after that point.

The team has also added Fallout 3's perk system, where each new level gained allows players to add special abilities to their character, including increase in damage to dagger stealth attacks or allowing your mace to ignore enemy armor.

Skyrim's NPC conversations are a lot more realistic. Aside from including even more voice actors, the AI-controlled characters will actually move about and continue on with the activities they were doing before being interrupted. Towns also include more activities to do, such farming, mining, woodcutting and cooking.

Bethesda also revamped the game's menu system. Howard said the team used Apple's iTunes as inspiration and direction. Players will be greeted with a compass-style overlay with four options: Skill, Inventory, Map, and Magic. Weapons and spells can be tagged as a 'favorite' for quick selection. Every item is a 3D object than can be viewed and examined.
There are so many typos in there.

this was my strategy.. but after playing that demo I might be picking it up sooner than expected.
20$ on Xbox 360. :lmao:
PS3 only
It's worth every bit of the $60, especially since it comes with the 3 main DLC episodes included.

I've been playing the new Castlevania for Xbox 360 and I've enjoyed it. A friend gave me Left 4 Dead (yeah, I know, welcome to 2008) and, well, I ain't doing so well with that.

I've gone back and forth on whether to pick up Dead Space 2 or Mass Effect 2. Both look good, but both are just SP games that I can always play later on. (I know Dead Space has a multiplayer mode, but I'm really just getting the game for its SP side). I only have time to play one or the other before Killzone 2 comes out. Both figure to be deeply discounted a couple of months from now.

No I am not spamming, but since you seem interested in what links I may post next: http://www.carinsurance.org/2010/12/forza-gran-turismo/

What do you guys like better, honest opinion, forza or gran turismo? I wanted to get one of them for my brother's birthday, but I really don't know which one is better, I have never played either, and I am pretty sure he has all of the gaming systems in the world so I just need some input on which is better.

Looks like my video game draft will be starting up next week. We still have a few spots open but if you are interested and don't want to commit to that, I am looking for judges in various categories to award points (1-14) or (1-28) for the end rankings.

P.S. Barley/Moobin/CJ, Borderlands is as fun as ever!

So, any FBG's play any of the free-to-play MMO's out there now? I was big into LOTRO and had a couple of characters maxed on gear and such, but gave it up. It is free-to-play now, and while a very good game, cannot see going back to a neutered stable of characters. I was looking at Everquest II Extended, since I have never played EQ or EQ2 and thought it would be fun to try a few levels and see. You also have Runes of Magic, which I know nothing about but seems to be very popular. 4Story is yet another. Seems to be a ton of them. Just curious if any had a FBG following.

ETA looks like Champions Online is going F2P on January 25, as well. Looks like microtransactions might be the wave of the future with MMO's.

I may finally try Champions Online after it goes F2P. I'd love to see City of Heroes follow suit. It's the only MMO I've ever really gotten into. Champions Online is created by the same head developer that did CoH, so I've always been curious. I have a couple of beta invites for a couple of MMOs, I can't remember which. I believe Rift was one of them. I also have a couple of beta keys for Battlefield Free 2 Play. It's not MMO, but it's Free to play. I've been so swamped, I haven't had time for all of these betas.

lol. That would be kind of annoying standing like that for a whole campaign. You'd be all kinds of sore by the end of the finale.

You still around there? I know Maelstrom still is. Then I have a few friends I made there that I talk to on Facebook.

I had forgotten about D&D Online as free, as well. I was thinking about a free game to share with family. Choose the right one and the wife might even give it a try. I had a foray with my son in LOTRO and he loved to adventure with dad. So we have LOTRO, which we know. D&DO, EQ2 and a bunch of others. . .
