This may be a dumb question, but do they make X-Box shaped Playstation controllers?
Haha. Unfortunately they do not. You'll have to get used to the one designed for tiny Asian women. This may be a dumb question, but do they make X-Box shaped Playstation controllers?
) and AC III - which I'm sure I'll pick up once I've finished AC II....I might be set until Bioshock: Infinite. It could be a looooooong time until I get around to finishing Bulletstorm. There are some 3rd party controllers for the PS3 that have a similar shape and layout to the 360 controller. There is one that is called the Power A Pro Elite. It's not bluetooth wireless but it can be used wirelessly with a USB dongle. This may be a dumb question, but do they make X-Box shaped Playstation controllers?
Finally put in Assassin's Creed II (bought a used copy around Christmas) and I have to say...wow. I couldn't put it down for like 5 hours of game time last night. With the Gears 3 beta opening up tomorrow to occupy me for the next month, followed by LA Noire and AC II for the summer, and then Gears 3 in the fall (which will probably keep me occupied for like 2 years) and AC III - which I'm sure I'll pick up once I've finished AC II....I might be set until Bioshock: Infinite. AC 2 and Brotherhood were very good. Made the first cry like a little baby.Traded in a few games to basically get Portal 2 for free.Looking forward to it. If someone (madshot?) wants to run an exclusive co-op I'd be all over that.
I'll have it Tuesday night if the UPS guy doesn't decide to take off early. I'm literally the last stop.I assume the co-op story/mode is completely different than the single player mode, correct?I'll pick it up after work tomorrow.edit - (googled it and the answer is yes, they are separate)Traded in a few games to basically get Portal 2 for free.Looking forward to it. i know absolutely nothing about this game other than what amazon has said. is it release day worthy?'Worm said:I assume the co-op story/mode is completely different than the single player mode, correct?I'll pick it up after work tomorrow.edit - (googled it and the answer is yes, they are separate)'madshot31 said:'Worm said:Traded in a few games to basically get Portal 2 for free.Looking forward to it. I think for most people it's probably "pick up a couple months later at a much cheaper price" worthy. I think it will be a fantastic game, but nothing you'll miss by grabbing it later. I just wanted to take advantage of some of the trade-in preorder bonuses.i know absolutely nothing about this game other than what amazon has said. is it release day worthy?'Worm said:I assume the co-op story/mode is completely different than the single player mode, correct?I'll pick it up after work tomorrow.edit - (googled it and the answer is yes, they are separate)'madshot31 said:'Worm said:Traded in a few games to basically get Portal 2 for free.Looking forward to it. Hmmm, I am thinking about this one. I still have $84 in Gamestop credit to use, but already have so many games. And yet Portal was so awesome. For those who pre-ordered Portal 2 through Steam, it should unlock to play in sometime in the next 30 minutes. Killing Floor should finish up cutting the time down. You can check out the launch clock right here.
I might not be able to hold out on this one.
I played through about an hour and half of it last night. So far, it's very good. I won't give away anything I've seen so far. I'm sure there is plenty I still haven't seen also. If you enjoyed the first, you'll enjoy the second. Also for those with a Playstation 3, remember that you can buy the Playstation 3 version and it has the PC/Mac version included for no extra cost.Hmmm, I am thinking about this one. Mortal Kombat combines the novelty of extreme violence with a great fighting engine. My favorite moments with Mortal Kombat were always playing against a friend (Gamespy’s Ryan Scott is a beast), but I was disgusted by how unbalanced some of the single-player challenges are.
Even still, Mortal Kombat is a great game. It’s not the most polished fighter out there, but it has a distinct flavor and it’ll be a hit at gamer get-togethers. I’ll leave you with some friendly advice: show your friends Noob Saibot’s default Fatality. It’s amazing.
It doesn't work that way. The PS3 version uses Steam also. You have to tie your PSN account to your Steam account to unlock.Best Buy has a $10 gift card with purchase of Portal 2 all week. Toys R Us has a $15 gift card with purchase of Portal 2 today only. Playstation 3 and XBox 360.There may be more deals on the internet. But those are the retail deals I've seen.So figure the PS3 version is what? $60? PC is $50, but I wonder if the PC and PS3 version are linked? I am just thinking if I can buy the PS3 version, take the Steam PC code and then sell the PS3 version?
Looks pretty sweet.
Saw a commercial last night while half asleep. Couldn't tell if I was dreaming or not. Looks sweet.
I thought Brotherhood wasn't nearly as good as ACII. Seemed that the story wasn't nearly as long or as difficult as ACII.Finally put in Assassin's Creed II (bought a used copy around Christmas) and I have to say...wow. I haven't played Brotherhood yet, but AC2 was the easiest game I've ever played. I can't even think of what the runner-up would be. It was lots of fun and really well-made, but goodness gracious it was easy, aside from one or two of the assassin's tombs. That the bad thing about the assasins creed franchise.Brotherhood was easier because you could always call your trainees to help you. Plus, the game really holds your hand in terms of waypoints during the stealth missions.Still love it though.

So? Let's say he links his PSN account to his Steam account. He downloads the PC version via Steam. Then he sells back his PS3 copy (minus the download code, of course). What am I missing here? He'll never need the PS3 disc for anything. It doesn't work that way. The PS3 version uses Steam also. There was so much more of FO3 to do but I accidentally finished the main story of the game and then got bored with it. Ive never gone back to explore all those extra buildings because I maxed out my level and was done the story. Great game but I it got boring once I could pretty much own everything and "teleport" anywhere. Lost the isolation then.I think I am just about done with Fallout 3. Glad I didn't get the DLC, as I am about done with the game. Good game though. I need to sell it and Medal of Honor if anyone is interested. PC.
Yeah, but I do find myself going to places that Three Dog mentions in his little blurbs to check it out. I have popped in on random slavers/raiders to bust their asses, but still a great game. After this one, gonna have to finish Bioshock 1 then 2 and think about Crysis 2 which is sitting unopened here on my desk. Don't even get me started on the Steam games I have on my account that I have not even tried. There was so much more of FO3 to do but I accidentally finished the main story of the game and then got bored with it. X 1000.I'm not sure. But I've read elsewhere that Valve has planned ahead for that. I'm not sure how. Perhaps trade-in value will be low without the game working with Steam also. I've also read that they may not even accept trade-in on it for the same reason they don't accept PC game trade-ins. Who knows. Let me know how it goes if anyone tries it. I'm curious. I'm sure YMMV.For the record, I'm still working on the single player campaign in Portal 2. Considering it only took me 2 1/2 hours my first playthrough for the first one, that's a huge improvement in length to the first. It's still good. I haven't touched the co-op yet.'IvanKaramazov said:So? Let's say he links his PSN account to his Steam account. He downloads the PC version via Steam. Once you have it installed, you can play in offline mode. No multiplayer, of course. I hate when cable is sporadic. The major drawback of Steam is you are totally screwed when the Internet goes down. And since I have cablevision, that seems to be often. Like right now. ####! No portal for me.
You'll lose count. Just finished the single player campaign.Portal is fun so far. The GlaDos character is still awesome.Up to like level 13 or so. Not sure how many there are.
Same here. I bought it last night because of the IGN review and Amazon had a $20 off your next game purchase deal, so with Brink coming out in a few weeks it was a no brainer.Saw a review for portal 2 and I had no clue WTF was going on. Weird looking game

That was probably the co-op commercial. But yeah, it's a puzzle game disguised as a FPS. If you don't enjoy puzzle games and being challenged, then you won't enjoy this.I saw the commercial for it last night after I ordered it and I saw that all you do is run around with a robot shooting holes in walls? You will be blown away by the combination of simple concept and intricate gameplay.
