That's pretty much what I figured.I'm helping my boys with the controls to get them started and they keep asking me what to do next. "What do you want to do?" I keep asking them. Hopefully they either pick up the concept soon, or stop asking me. Watching an 8 year old try to walk around using the two sticks gives me nausea.

Man, Borderlands 2 is the first game I have played in quite awhile where I thought I had played 30 minutes only to look up and see it's been more like two hours. Such a fast pace after games like Skyrim, etc.

I'm sure you all have heard of Kickstarter. It's a way for developers to get funding for their projects from people who want to play or invest in it. Anyway, there are some guys doing a Kickstarter for a game called Football Heroes. It's an arcade football game with some beat 'em up and RPG mixed it. The game is being made for mobile devices but it looks great and I can't wait to play it. Take a look at the video on the Kickstarter page for more detail.

I'm sorry for this to sound like an advertisement. I have nothing to do with the project. Just someone who would like to see it get done and with the football fan demographic here, I thought it would fit.

Already preordered. I NEVER preorder. I usually wait till its been out for a year and then buy cheap but this one I've waited for for over a decade. I'm in whole heartedly.

I am totally fired up about this - I've been thisclose to buying an XBox just to play ME1 for awhile now. Can't wait!

In other news: apparently, for $40, you can now get all 5 God of War games for PS3. Another solid deal. I've never played the PSP releases, but I absolutely loved the PS2/PS3 games. I don't have my copies anymore, so I will likely be picking this up, too.

One more: also for $40, to be released in October, you'll be able to get Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3, the other Doom 3, and some kind of "lost level." All have been remastered. PS3, XBox, and PC.

Wow, this sounds great. I have always wanted to try the ME games but never got around to it. This looks like the perfect opportunity. I wonder if the Trilogy will include all the various DLC's (I think these would be the Game of the Year Editions)? That would be an awesome deal.

I loved those games (never played Doom 3), and I'm looking forward to this release, but I'm also a little worried that the first two won't have aged well.Edit: One minor complaint. One twist that I never knew about - It's possible to lose Mordin, even if he's loyal, during the assault on the Collector base in ME2.

If you do, then in ME3 you get a character named Padok Wiks. I'm interested in seeing how that plays out.

I'm excited to get through ME3. I haven't watched the new stuff they've tacked on after the dustup over the endings when it was released.

Well, you could always just hold off on these collections and buy them in the spring. They'll probably be available for $20-$30 by then.

Three of my absolute favorite video game series ever.

Wow, this sounds great. I have always wanted to try the ME games but never got around to it. This looks like the perfect opportunity. I wonder if the Trilogy will include all the various DLC's (I think these would be the Game of the Year Editions)? That would be an awesome deal.

I was hoping for the DLC's also, but it doesn't look like it from what i've read. For some reason they have never packaged any type of GOTY edition with the DLC included for the mass effect series.

My big question is will I be able to continue my ME 1 Sheppard on ME2 and 3 on PS3?

He said he did it legitimately. With help from his other friends doing most of their missions that were above his level at the time. I've been getting caught up with side quests, so my last two levels have been slow leveling. I'd probably be 24 right now if I kept to the story.

I see your pulling a classic moobin/tlef. Watch the hype, waffle while everyone is loving it and pick it up as everyone is a good distance in or beat it. Then you wonder why no one is starting fresh. JK good buddy, I'm only lvl 14 or so due to time conflicts with co-op friends so I have been holding pat for the once a week gaming session of borderlands. I'll be on this weekend but probably log some gears time I think. I had a good time last week with you, slut, and uni while we went undefeated.

He was poking fun at me because I did that with Battlefield 2. Certainly not the case here as it just came out last week. I think we just hit the sweet spot between the release and the initial burnout. The games will likely be packed tonight and tomorrow.TLEF, Ill be on later for a bit.

Playing what will likely be my last playthrough of the Mass Effect games.

One twist that I never knew about - It's possible to lose Mordin, even if he's loyal, during the assault on the Collector base in ME2.

If you do, then in ME3 you get a character named Padok Wiks. I'm interested in seeing how that plays out.

I'm excited to get through ME3. I haven't watched the new stuff they've tacked on after the dustup over the endings when it was released.

The new endings are what should have been there at release. Would have been almost zero outcry had they put that in there from the beginning. I wonder if the PS3 version will have that standard. I would hope so.

Currently about 5 minutes into the metal gear solid HD collection. Unfortunately MSG 2 feels like one of those games that is just too dated to really enjoy at this point. That's going to be a struggle to finish.

Preordered NBA2k13 and Halo 4 as well. Haven't been this exited about a sports game and a halo sequel since 2004- both games looks great.

That's a shame because that was the one that had the most action IIRC, and the one I wanted to play the most.
