MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A large fight occurred at the Delta Fair Sunday.

A group of angry fairgoers rushed at a fair worker and started punching him. Video of the fight surfaced on Facebook showing what happened.

Witnesses called Shelby County Sheriff's deputies when the fight broke out. The witnesses told deputies a man attacked the worker because the worker told him he would have to wait to get on the ride because it was full.

Deputies arrested Antonio Butler, 24, and charged him with assault. Several other people were escorted from the fair.

Mark Lovell, the president of Universal Fairs, released a statement regarding the incident.

"There was a small altercation this afternoon , where a few customers got angry at the ride operator because the customers did not think the ride operator was loading the riders on to the ride fast enough. The customers starting hollering and tried to push the operator. The police removed the unruly customers from the fair and everything went back to normal, with a beautiful final night at the 2015 Delta Fair."

the only white female I see seems to be a fair employee who makes the dumb decision to open the fence to yell at the pole swinging' ride opp to got start the ride. Once she got through the fence everyone followed and all hell broke loose.

Seem's the 3 ft moveable fence sections were more then enough to keep this contained lol

its all good!! that view is insane..im shocked that they didn't rip that fence down though all that. But I did see a few things get thrown into the 'ring'

the pipe swinging ride opp was ready to knock some gold teeth loose if anyone crossed the barrier though.

Security was there the whole time. A big, fat white guy and a bigger white guy. They both were on the outside trying to talk the crowd down and preventing them from opening the gate.

Really it was the big,fat white woman who escalated it. The carnie had the perimeter secure....noone was getting over that fence without getting a mouf-full of lead. He was like the Brits in that fort in the movie Zulu. If the big, fat white lady was in charge....then she should have ran (or had someone run) to go get the cops so they could break it up.

Big, Fat, White guy and Big White guy..... A+......They stood their ground outside the perimeter and in all truth were in the direct line of fire to take the first shot.

Black Carnie..or Blarnie.......A....The Blarnie stood his ground.....but I can't help to think that his yammering didn't keep the fires stoked.

Angry Mob..........................C-....Yeah, they were fighting....but they didn't take it out on innocents and respected the fence.

Big,Fat, White Lady............F......Broke the perimeter. Made the Blarnie turn his back on the angry mob.....and didn't rush to get outside help.
