Vikings-Jets thread (1 Viewer)

That's very true... I didn't really watch the 1st half-quarter, but it sounds like they were out there nearly the whole quarter...

Man, even on that second carry it looked like there was nothing and pushed the pile 5 yards.
I was more impressed by that run than the first one. Moving the pile 5 yards is much more important to see than busting a tackle and finding an open hole.
i just missed the first run, but that one was great. he got that 5 yards going down w/ someone on his back.

Some great matchups going on with Edwards and D'Brick each oWning the other on several plays. Very few just standing each other up.

Askew got a couple nice blocks on Greenway but all in all, I think Greenway has looked terrific. He's faster than I thought.

Jets doing the annoying regular season tactic of picking on one DB so Cotchery hasn't gotten much work but for when Griffin coverred him. Coles got a couple passes and showed his great feet on one, taking a 2-3 yarder for like 12 yards.

Washington needs a little more room than I'd like a RB to have to have but he looks good. What I mean is, sure he looks good with daylight(Askew blocks before) but in traffic he needs to put a move on or cut or...anything than just run straight and wait to get hit. I thinkt hat has really stopped him from getting a ton of big plays last year and tonight. One cut, he'd be gone.

Pennington has no zip at all on his pass. Critics hate his arm but it's always been adequate. This is worse. I feel like a fan could've put his beer down, got up out of his seat, climbed over the railing and got out there and caught that pass. They're hanging there in the air so slow.

Coles didn't get hurt but more like a little ding. He came out hopped around like his toe or foot hurt then was back in after a quick play. A reverse to Stuckey. I really really REALLY doubt there was anything there but toe+Coles has never been good so I'll be looking for an injury update tomorrow to be sure.

With jones out, I don't think anyone other than leon played RB. Depth concern?

Brad Smith may have sniffed the field on ST but I don't think I've seen him yet.

What makes me happy as a Vikings' fan is that all of Peterson's nice runs were to the right (the weak side of the line). Makes me feel good about the offensive line.

Say what you want about RB not being a spot of need for the Vikes, but with Chester in there that 43 yard run is a 5 yarder instead.

If this kid can stay healthy...

oh man i can't wait to see the replay later. I have AP in 3 dynasty leagues...and 2 of those teams also have Bush. MMMM MMMM TOASTY!

How soon until A. Peterson is the Starter?

He look BAD ###

There is no way they will leave a RB like him on the Bench.

Yeah, Chester in on 3rd and 15 and gets 18. Can anyone say "third down back". What is this going to do Peterson's ADP?

Wow, not bad by the special teams. Bollinger goes down in bounds with about 20 seconds left and no timeouts. The Vikes special teams runs onto the field and gets the snap off and Longwell booms a 54yd FG.

Pennington has clearly been outplayed by Clemens.

Pac10 producing yet another quality NFL QB.
