just saw the stat line 11/16 95 1TD and 12yrds rushing 1 TD.

GB has been playing pretty solid D so far in the preseason.

Another surprising stat line - JStevens in Tampa 7/100.

How many INTs has VY thrown this preseason?

His last two games, he's hit 68% and a rating of over 100

I know, it's the preseason, but the man has played very well.

8 rushes, 25 yards, 3.1 YPC, 2 TD

Vince and White looked good against Green Bay's 2nd and 3rd stringers. Woodson, Harris, Barnett, and KGB did not play at all, and Hawk, Jenkins and Kampman might not have even finished the 2nd series. The entire 2nd string took over after Tenn's 2nd drive. Before the half, a few 3rd stringers were playing.

I remember years ago when Joe Germaine had a QB rating ov 1110+ in the preseason for St. louis. I'm, just sayin' . . .

I am a Titans homer, and have been pleased with the progress Vince has shown this preseason. The stats are totally meaningless, especially in this game where the Titans played their starters alot, and Green Bay rested most of their starters for practically the whole game.

However, Young looks more comfortable out there. It is obvious the coaching staff has drilled into his head that he need to look to make plays from the pocket. There will probably be an akward adjustment time where he second guesses himself and doesn't run when he probably should, but overall this will help keep him healthy and more productive.

The other encouraging thing I have seen from Vince is on short throws. It was almost painful to watch him throw a screen last year. He is still not good at it, but getting better.

If Vince can even become an average passer, he will be very dangerous and productive in real life and fantasy. I am guarded, but I think he is on his way.

Again, the stat-line is 100% meaningless from this preseason, but having watched most of his snaps, sometimes twice, this preseason, I can see that Vince has made real progress towards becoming a complete QB.

And don't be surprised to see a few rinkles in the offensive game [plan from Chow. Chow was not sold on Vince at first, but he loves working with him now, and Chow is putting that brain of his to work.

Finally, the receivers are better than most think. They are not top 1`0, and probably not even top half in the league, but they are not garbage like everyone thinks. Vince just needs smart guys that will go up and get the ball, because Vince is not a QB that will put it on the money and hit WRS in stride. I think he has some guys that can do that.

Vince's fumble last night that turned into a Justin Harrell TD was outstanding.

That was a bad play. Did it ruin a good preseason for Young?

Yeah he looked great playing against all 2nd and 3rd stringers. By the 2nd series, none of the starting CB's or LB's were out there, and half the D-line was a spectator.
Not bad for a guy who was suppose to sit and learn 2-3 years before even starting a game.
I dont know where you got this from, no one said he was gonna sit for 2-3 years. No one.

Really, you sure Merrill Hoge didn't think he'd sit atleast that long? Most people were projecting Vince to follow the model of McNair or Culpepper and not even sniff the field the first year.

No one in their right mind? Maybe. No one? Hardly.

That's surprising. I make a post that attempts to put a little substance on the issue and generate some discussion on Young, and the thread devolves into a toolish pissing contest.

I must be in the wrong place. This surely cannot be the Shark Pool.

The pool has been yellow for awhile.

 I think Young will end up being a top 10 qb for FF this year. Hopefully B. Jones is out of the doghouse. I've liked what limited things I've seen from Roydell, and Scaife looks decent too, so the receivers aren't as bad as people think. Could be a very surprising offense if LenDale can keep the Big Macs under control.I think you'll see some Titans offensive players on FF championship rosters this year - good value there I think, especially since you can grab some of these guys off the waiver wire.

Please, that is very selective memory. Nearly all the draft analysts were saying he would take 2 or 3 years to develop. That line was posted hundreds of times on this forum. Really a clueless take to try to deny that now.
