Is he even playing? He was lights out last season, and this year he isn't ever registering stats. Did he even play yesterday? He was only listed as probable I believe. Any insight?

Everyone expected that When Moss came in, he would see a lot less balls... I was kinda bullish on the idea. Then against the Jet he saw 7 targets, which would have been great if he would have brought in more than 2 of those for rec, but he didn't... I'd bet he wasn't as much involved as a receiver this week so that he could stay behind for blocking and picking up the blitz... Could be any number of reasons...Week 1 and 2 were good weeks 4/76/1 and 6/86/0 but not much since.Now with Farve struggling, Moss in the game, and his lack of production, maybe it's time to move on....

One thing to keep in mind is that while Shiancoe is still being targeted - he's second on the team behind Harvin - he's never gotten a ton of targets and a lot of his point production came on TDs.
In 2009, he put up a pedestrian 56-566, but the 11 TDs made him a significant fantasy producer. Now with Favre not playing well, those TDs haven't been there, and with the big target Moss in the picture, I would think that Shiancoe's role will decline, not increase.

Also, for some reason, the OL isn't pass protecting as well this year and the Vikings will want to keep Favre with as much protection as possible as they know their boat is hitched to him staying healthy. Now, I watched yesterday's game, but I also can't confirm that Shiancoe stayed in to block more than normal b/c he just didn't show up on TV that much at all (blocking or receiving).
